On the eighth day the wife will fill out an online application for unemployment compensation as a lotta people will be doing as well! Thinking that the idiots will pass a bill to reinstate back pay is not worth much to me or her!! I bet new claims will be like trying to get Obama care, like talking to an endless sea of computer phone machines that all end up at it's time to hang up now :(
 
So as the shutdown continues they passed a bill this weekend to send a few DOD employees back to work :mrgreen: :mrgreen: my wife is back to work and wow that was a long furlough :lol: she did enjoy here time off as she was overdue some time off plus sick as well! Probably sick of me but the commissary where she works are all back open at 8 AM this morning but I would question the quality of the food but just look at the stuff and you can tell by looking if it is bad !! Local Sam's Clubs were giving temp passes to all their Club's for anyone that had a Military ID which I am sure was helping a lotta folks out as well !!
 
My drill got the axe as they are unwilling to pay those in the Reserves unless you are going to deploy.
 
One has to stop and think about all the stuff that has happened lately with the Naval yard shooting and the woman who was shot after trying to get to the White House and other things that have happened since the last Presidentual election. Weird how it's brought all the nuts out.
 
I'm just waiting for them to shut down the Forest Service lands.

I think things are going to get interesting.
 
Vince, things already are interesting. Can't wait for them to stop paying the military. I've given a lot for my county, but I sure didn't do it so myself and all of the others that have made a sacrifice to get stabbed in the back and used as a political bargaining chip.
 
The article ridicules the fear generated by the administration and its minions. The people are acting quite responsibly as seventeen percent of government "services" are restricted. It is the White House that appears to be attempting to impose as much pain as possible in hopes of creating a climate of fear in order to compel Boehner and the House to capitulate. It is the Chicago way.
 
I think we should evaluate some folks pay and benefits in Washington and see if they can not be aligned with people being furloughed and Why does everyone blame the Republicans that have not been in charge of anything for quite some time now? Democrats have even quite blaming Bush for all their moronic ideas? I am really surprised that people like Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi are even in Washington and then the President thinks that troops that have paid the ultimate sacrifice might need death benefits? This is really sad! Our leaders in the DOD and White House were going to let a charity organization pay death benefits to 29 Hero's that gave their life to fight for this great nation! Does anyone remember The Fast & Furious, Benghazi, IRS Idiots or is their a Teflon shield protecting this Administration come people make your votes count and that includes you guys on the left coast! Rant over for now maybe! :)
