You do use a free app on your phone to set up the specific information for your gun and load. After that you can use the app with the rangefinder if you want to but the rangefinder is stand alone and does not need the phone to give you the info you need. Range it and it will display range...

Hmmm that's interesting. Thanks for running that. Recorded velocity at a charge of 88.5gr was 3105, 3133, 3103 fps. So looking at that quickload and what we're seeing I would estimate max load being around 89-90 grains? Hoping to find a good accuracy load with a velocity between 3100-3150fps...
