223 Rem 77 Sierra Tipped Matchkings

I would check out cfe 223 as well. It will likely give you about 100fps more than the 4895. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    264 win mag powder?

N570 is like black gold....my 338 Lapua loved the stuff! Only downside was it was very expensive and I could rarely find it locally. But accuracy was excellent and it produced exceptional velocity. If you have access to it I would certainly give it a go! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    129gr ABLR 260 Rem

Made it out to the range today for some much needed therapy! I had a couple of loads to test out in my custom built 260. I have a hard time not just feeding it what it loves but I'm a tinkerer and have to at least experiment. My go to load is using 140 Berger Hybrids over 42gr of IMR 4451...

    260 REM Range day

That it is Dr Mike. I shot a few ablr that were seated out longer and it was a shotgun group. I think I will reshoot the load i posted to see if it was me or the load and continue to seat a little deeper and see what it does.

    It's a 8.5 twist.

    260 REM Range day

Made it out to do a little load development today. Maybe next time I'll remember all the parts to my chronograph.....but other than forgetting a crucial part for that, I came away happy with one of the loads. Didn't make it out to the range as early as I wanted so it was already 85 degrees with...

    129gr ABLR

FYI, there is a pretty good stock of 2nd's available right now at SPS! I'm assuming when we start to see 2nd's showing up they must be making a production run at the factory......hopefully they'll start cracking out some of the 6.5 142 ABLR's soon!

    Whidden Hydraulic Forming Die

I'm curious to hear your thoughts on this after you get some time with it.....I've been contemplating a re-barrel on my stock Rem 700 22-250 to a 22-250AI with a fast twist barrel to shoot the 69-80 grain pills, but fire forming was something of a negative in my decision on doing that.

    129gr ABLR

Yup, when I decreased the neck tension there was no ring what so ever on the bullet. But with 3 thousandth's neck tension or with a compressed load it left a mark. Not sure if a VLD seater would solve the problem or not....I suppose it would move the point that it is contacting the bullet...

    129gr ABLR

Oh, I get the jacket thickness and it's purpose....it just surprised me that 3 thousandth's of neck tension vs 2 thousandth's was the difference between a significant ring in the jacket vs not a mark! Don't think it's anything to do with the seating plug as far as any issues with it. I think...

    129gr ABLR

Got 2 boxes of factory 1st's and have 3 boxes of 2nd's coming from SPS. Spent a little time today getting some test loads worked up. Loading for a 260 Rem, and using LE Wilson dies. Had some interesting things happen....not sure if you remember but recently I had to step down from a .288...

    SPS deals!

Somebody pinch me.... Of course I just paid full price for 2 boxes that I actually found!

    Nothing blemished about this

I'd call that good, and go out and buy a crap ton of bullets, brass and powder and start loading!

Discovered a new local powder supply

That's not bad.....IMR4451 is 36.99 a pound at my local shop and $42/lb for 7977. And then the old stuff is still around $30 a pound. I need to make a trip out West apparently!

    IMR 4451 temp sensitivity

Found this little write up comparing H4350 and IMR 4451 in regards to temp stability. Not a bad read. http://bulletin.accurateshooter.com/201 ... -imr-4451/ According to my math looking at the chart in the article, H4350 averages between the two tests .435 fps/degree change in F. And IMR...

Discovered a new local powder supply

How were the prices? I've seen some pretty full shelves of powder in my local shops but the prices unfortunately are significantly higher than they were when you couldn't find it....
