Also if a bullet hits after a deer exhales it has low oxygen level and can't run far but right after inhale the blood in the brain is oxygen rich and can run farther before passing out

Were both deer at the same angle ? Did the accubod exit opposite of where it went in ? Never have I seen a deer go 250 yards with both lungs destroyed .

I know of several people who have huge stacks of ammo waiting for Biden to make a move on ammo so they will be setting on a gold mine . The price will come down when people quit buying ammo at inflated prices . When it is no longer profitable profiteers...
Sounds like you had bad experiences with 3 major gun manufacturers . It's not just nosler it's most American workers have no pride in their work . Yes a good QC department helps smooth out the bumps but not building bumps would really be better .

Never change any component with out backing off and working up . This is more relevant if you are close to max . There is often enough difference between two brands of brass to make a ok load too hot . Weight the cases and see how much difference in weight . Everything else being the same the...
One example is the Hornady 6.8 cases . Some are made by Hornady and have 6.8 while some are made by S&B and have 6,8 on the head . The S&B cases have more volume .

The bullet did exactly what it was designed to do . The front is designed for rapid expansion and the rear is going to penetrate deep . You just didn't find the back portion . I have taken quite a few deer with them in 30 cal. and all were pass thru . The only one recovered was a 7.08 round...
Interesting that you don't use it in the 223 w . Up until we started using the 6.8 the 60 grain part. Was our bullet of choice for deer during youth season. Non believers were shocked at internal damage and penetration on deer . I wish nosler would make a 100 grain 6.8 bullet for the...
I have taken hundreds of game ,I have never felt guilty or ashamed but I always feel responsible . I take the killing of anything seriously , when I shoot a deer aside from all the happiness and knowing I'm going to enjoy eating it I also stop and think ,I will never see this magnificent animal...
Several people have it in bolts ,AR performance is the best place to go to get AR barrels and knowledge . Two things make it the great cartridge it is #1 it is very efficient and exactly enough power #2 the bullet companies have designed bullets specifically for the short barrels and velocity...
I was reluctant to mention the 6.8 but since you brought it up I will add my 2¢ . The 6.8 went from almost obscurity to what I consider one of the most important new cartridges in over 50 years . The 6.8 is hands down the best short action ( youth size ) caliber ...
Clover leaf's comment gave me a chuckle , not that I disagree because he is 100% right about protecting the bore its just that the last chamber I polished was with clover leaf lapping compound .

The figure 8 works for me too. Sometimes I notice the cross hairs wobble horizontally other times more vertical and if I fight it it gets worse but if I go with the flow it settles down and my trigger magically breaks at the right time. Dry firing helps me a lot. Another thing I have learned is...
NYDAN is spot on with the ladino clover . I use winter wheat oats mix as wheat is better than oats after it gets cold Here . If you have enough acres available plant turnips separate if not over seed wheat with them . Another hint is if space allows leave a rough zone between bedding area and...
My wife put a shot high over the shoulder with a 7/08 on a big 8 point a couple years back and we lost him .a week later he showed up on game camera and the wound was healing and about a month later he was on camera fighting another 8 pt. I think as far as yours went and no pink blood he isn't...
First off I would beat someone who shot my dog to death with his own gun. Second the blame goes to whoever Made the decision to let someone keep hunting who refused to follow safety rules, they put money ahead of safety

Believe me it happens ,I have almost done the same thing and actually did worse .Back in about 1979 or 80 a co-worker loaded up some 30/06 nosler portions for our boss he shot 1 in his 742 rem and had to beat the case out and swore of hand loads forever .I pulled a bullet and weighed it at 180...
Is this a serious post or in jest? I'm kinda slow on picking up on things but I know I could replace faster than post the question and anyone who should be reloading knows if you have to ask if it's safe it probably isn't.
