The gun doesn't like heavies. I really wanted to shoot 200AB out of it but that never worked out either. Only likes 165/168s.

Would someone please run the following in QL? Looking for the node. 23" bbl New brass fed 215 primers Load 1: 175 ABLR w/ retumbo. I get 2840 fps w/ 63.1 grn Load 2: 175 ABLR w/ RL 23. I get 2740 w/ 57 grn Load 3: 160 AB w/ RL 23. I get 2845 w/ 58.5 grn. Thanks in advance

If you have a healthy supply of Retumbo I'd go for the 200AB and 94-95 grns Ret with Fed 215. My Sako also shoots 180 scirocco or 180 TTSx over the max charge shown in the Lyman manual. A big 300 is magic when you put the projectile in the right place.

Muzz I got the 168 ABLR to shoot with 58.0 grn RL23 and Fed 215. Just a tad more works with the 160 AB.

Took a while to get here. I spent hours studying the loads you all developed as I worked up my loads. The icing on the cake was the Quickload data from DrMike. Thanks again guys :grin: :grin: :grin: :grin: :grin: :grin: :grin: :grin:

Hello gents! Here's where I ended with the Cooper. All shoot 1/2-3/4" @100 yds and 1.5-2" @300 yrds. 145 LRX 59.5 RL23 Fed 215 3120 fps 168 ABLR 58.0 RL23 Fed 215 or 210 (1/2" better @300 yrd with Fed 215s) 2912 fps not sure why this shoots-its in the middle of the node 175 ABLR 63.2 Retumbo...

Anyone ever try the 168 cc In 7mm on antelope Or small deer? PM me if you have info.
