I use my pack or a Bog Pod. I believe the grass is a little taller this year due to all of the rain.

I use a Eberlestock J104 for a day pack. It will carry every thing I need plus a boned out antelope or deer. For heavy loads I use a Kifaru Timberline 1.

Leaving tomorrow for rifle season. Sounds like it is going to be warmer this year than last year.

If I could only keep one of my rifles, it would be the 338 WM. I've owned it for a long time and killed whitetails to wild bison with it. As far as recoil, it does have some sitting at the bench but in the field shooting at game I've never noticed.

A 100gr BT and IMR4831 has worked well for me.
