Oh,by the way,I use RL-26 and 150 grain Nosler Partition in my .270. In the 24" barrel the average is 3077 fps. ;)

Just use the 150 Nosler Partition.

When I had a 8 mag I used RL-25 and 220 gr Sierras. For moose I would use a 220 gr Swift A-Frame.

Would like to see a 20 and 25 grain Ballistic Tip in the .17.

.450 Howell and 350 grain Speer. The .450 Howell is on the left (loaded with a 500 gr Swift A-Frame) and a .460 Wby on the right (loaded with a 500 gr Hornady DGX.)

I would be looking at either the 210 or 250 grain Nosler Partition for that pea-shooter. ;) Nice rifle Preacher.

Congrats to you both! What areas did you two draw for? For deer I drew unit 34 and for javelina units 19,23-27. My son drew unit 34 for cow elk.
