I agree. H4350 is as close to IMR4381 as it is IMR4350, depending on lots. Definitely not interchangeable.

I'd consider a fixed 4x or 6x. Simplify and save a few ounces. Mine is a Ruger stainless synthetic w/ a 23" barrel and I run a fixed 6x scope.

I use a drop tube. I never crush powder kernels. If your OAL is increasing as you increase powder charge with the same seating die setting, it's too much. If they are longer the next day, it's too much.

Agree the fasted load in a long barrel will be the fastest in a shorter barrel. Have seen in it rifles and pistols. Basing powder choice on barrel length instead of the cartridge is a waste of more than time. If you end up with ejecta out of your barrel it's because the powder is inappropriate...

Once I shoot up my 150gr 300Savage and 308 loads I'm loading these for deer hunting. Haven't heard anything but good about these on deer sized game.

I use the 225 Partition in my 358 at 2500fps. Have taken elk and moose cleanly. The moose was close, shot in the left chest and the bullet was lodged against the opposite side hip joint. The elk was broadside at 200yds, double lunged and the bullet kept going after expanding well. I don't know...

270 WSM for light deer rifle. Never owned a 7mm anything. Never even owned a 270Win, but I have a Ruger 270WSM with a 23" barrel and a Ruger 1B 270Wby with a 26" barrel and never saw any advantage to 7mm. Especially for deer.
