Absolutely Beautiful... In 2006 I had 4 hours of guided salmon river fishing out of Telketina and I had my frozen salmon fillets shipped home to me. A return less hurried Salmon trip is on my bucket list. Thanks for sharing and enjoy the prize. Rol
Sorry that my experience is limited to buying the cheese cloth variety in two different sizes, one for deer quarters and the second for elk quarters. They have proven satisfactory and wash up after use for recycling on the next hunt. No problems with tears either. Good luck with your project...
The BOG-POD RLD-3 is my choice after having used one in 2017 to harvest a Mule Deer buck at about 300 yards and harvest a cow elk on another day, both from standing position. Setting up for a shot I place one leg forward so that I can lean into it and it proves very stable. I gave my first BOG...
Guy, the only resident Eagles that I see occasionally at a distance are at NY Dan's farm where they will roost in trees near his pond. I enjoy your photos, be they a new family member, (dog) a trip four wheeling in the mountains, camping along the way, rescuing a stranded mountaineer...
Congratulations Guy, nice to hear that you took a rescue dog and your efforts and talent are coming together for a win - win for man and dog. (y) . Thanks for sharing and best luck going forward. Rol
Recently decided to replace my Bushnell trail camera with an updated model that is powered by a single 9 volt battery compared to the Bushnell which uses a slew of AA batteries, which are a pain to install/replace. What brand and model trail cameras have you fellas found good and reliable?

I purchased a pair of Zeiss Conquest 10X42 as demos from Redhawk Rifles in Grand Junction Colorado this summer. I have no comparison with the Leica or Sawvorski binos but am very pleased with what I have. The demos came as new in the box, promptly shipped, and at a great price, nearly $300...
I found a significant variation between two lots of Nosler 30-06 brass. Within lots the variation was generallly +/- about 0.2 of a grain. The variation between lots was closer to 9 or 10 grains, but again within the heavier lot they were very consistent. Looking at the head stamp indicates a...
Thanks for the replies guys. The shot was at about 100 yards, slightly up hill. The shot hit higher than I wanted, i believe taking out the main artery along the back. I was told the heart was clean when removed by Brian another guide who did the field dressing and was with the second hunter...
Attached are the photos of a nice 5x6 bull elk, with a broken tine that I harvested Sunday late afternoon while hunting with Paulie, my guide at Upper Canyon Outfitters out of Alder Montana.
We approached the hunting area with another pair of hunter/guide also from UCO Sunday morning and spotted...
Asked a very reputable gun engraver/gunsmith about Savage Axis rifles and he said the stock was weak due to the way Savage puts the trigger assembly in. He has replaced three for different customers due to failure. I do not know if the Axis is the same stock that you are inquiring about, but...
Thanks for the compliment Joe, you are a welcome addition. I have learned a lot from the members here, and still learning. This is my Internet home away from home, no facebook, twitter or other junk for me.
The posts are interesting and many are educational. And someone is always willing to...
Great story and photos Guy.. Thanks for sharing. It serves to add significantly to my itch to head to south western Montana for my elk and mule deer hunt next month.. Good luck with the fly fishing. Rol
