Yes, if I get a 165gr to shoot well and around 2900fps and if so will be a back up unless it really shoots well and then the 7mm08 will be my back up or I might just switch each day. But it has got to shoot good.

    New/Old 30-06

A very close friend of mine was given a 30-06 that a gunsmith made for him years ago and he never shot it. He did not take care of it either, some surface rust issues but cleaned up pretty good. Anyway, it is built on a Mauser 98 Action with a 24" barrel. He said I don't shoot nor hunt anymore...

You might like my 7mm08, and the loads I have for this rifle. Fotis accuses me of burning the barrel up I have shot it so much but it has a long way to go when you consider the low charge weight of a 7mm08 and ball powder that is easy on the throat. :) I love my Nosler rifle, it kills like...

That is really cool. You won't be sorry and they have the best bar none service and care of their gun owners. :) This is exciting even though you are the one getting the rifle

You really going to get one? If so, that is cool. Good choice and good luck in your purchase and acquiring the chambering you desire. When you get it show pictures. :)

It would make a perfect rifle for you in the mountains especially if having to hike any at all. Mine shoots very well at longer ranges of 400 - 600yds. Just put it to the shoulder and the cross hairs on the game and pull the trigger and game on the ground. Great trigger or should I say and...

I think you would have a ball with a 260 in a Nosler rifle. I love mine, it shoots about anything I put in it, just a well made and well thought out rifle and design. Nosler got it right big time.

Here is the reason 1. They are great looking, and put together well and with rifle scope and mounts it only weights 7.7 pounds. 2. It is extremely well balance and naturally fits into ones hands and shoulders quickly. 3. Extremely consistent and very accurate 10 rounds 140gr...

    My Coues Killing Nosler M48

Yes, I will move a tad closer to the lands and tighten this group up just a bit. Here are a few pictures of some of where I will be hunting. I did not take these but you can bet when I get back from there I will have some photos to show and hopefully one of a nice Coues deer. :) This is...

    My Coues Killing Nosler M48

I will not be able to go to the 600yd range until September and with a BC of .611 it won't bleed much an if not a lot of wind won't drift to bad.
