    Dr. Mike, Thanks for the info. It agrees with the maximum load data Accurate publishes (which is comforting) and its helpful to have the OAL for the Nosler Partition. Probably the slight difference in muzzle velocity at 61.5 grains is the difference between a 22" and 24" barrel.

    Dr. Mike, Accurate doesn't publish load data for the .280 but I would think it would be as beneficial in a .280 as it is in a .270, since they are very similar cases and bullet diameters (if not nearly identical). You could probably derive enough from the .270 load information to start working...

    I have been very curious to try Mag Pro in my .270 Win. According to Accurate's load data, it can achieve 3,000 fps w/ a 150 gr. Sierra BT and an article I read claimed that same load chronographed "just over 3,000" in a 24" barrel and I think a 150 gr. NP was the bullet tested. Does anyone...

    Speaking of the original military loads, give Accurate's 2495 a try (also previously known as 2495BR). I haven't loaded 30-06 with it but I used it for 45-70.
