    Night Vision Coyote-Very Cool

I got to take my first coyote using night vision this weekend. We were using a thermal imaging scope to locate hogs out to 800 yards. Clark picked up a coyote about 300 yards out crossing a pasture. Jed started squeaking him in while I got out the suppressed AR-15 chambered in .223 and topped...

TAC is much cleaner burning than H-335.

    223

All of the above, no need to crimp, plus... ...pick up a copy of the newest Sierra manual. It has separate loads for the AR and bolt action .223's. H-335 works great. I switched to TAC. It shoots as well, it easier to meter, and not as temperature sensitive. Good Hunting, Bob

    MI Coyote

Hey JD, It is great to see you out there calling!! I have been in El Paso for 2 1/2 months and finally slipped across to New Mexico and last weekend and called in a desert coyote. I was calling in the dunes, so I used my shotgun. The good news is that I get to leave El Paso this weekend and...

    300 WSM

I appreciate the feedback. I had already gone to the Hodgdon and Alliant sites. I was just wondering if Nosler had done any testing. Oh, well......... I went to the range today and shot a load I worked up using 165 gr. TSX's, 58.5 grs. RL-15, Win. Brass, and WLRM Primers. I am ready to start...

    Javelina Hunt

Why? You may want to have him mounted. They are small animals just slightly larger than a coyote and are easy to kill. A shoulder or heart shot will work just fine. I use my .223 AR-15 with 65 gr. soft points or my 22-250 with 55 gr. soft points. Good Hunting!!! Bob I took these two a few...

    TAC vs Varget?

Interesting. Just to muddy the water a bit....... I switched from H-335 to TAC in my AR-15 .223 because it burned much cleaner. The Ramshot powders are ball but are not as temperature sensitive. While I used Varget for many years, it is harder to meter being an extruded powder, but it is also...

    300 WSM

Nosler, Do you have any new data on loading the 165 gr. and 180 gr. Accubonds in the 300 WSM using some of the newer powders like RL-17, Hybrid 100v, or Hunter? Bob

    Latest Outings

I have been working on the road and haven't posted a lot recently. I have been calling in sheep & goat country so most of my predator calling has been for foxes. Wildlife Services keeps the coyotes out. I also slipped out for some javelina hunting for an article in "AR Guns & Hunting". I also...
