The ironic part of this is that in 10 years of owning our business and having been in our house for 17, we have never filed a claim on either property. We deal with wind, cold, and thunderstorms in summer, but we also don't live in a seismic zone and a wildfire would be a once in a lifetime...
It happened to us last year. I had to shop commercial insurance around for the same reason this year. I was looking at a $3K increase for business insurance until we shopped it. Ultimately, same coverage with a different company, it went down about 10%.
We also had our property taxes go up 26%...
My wife works two jobs.
All kidding aside, she handles all of our payroll and back of the house for our business. She works as a Speech Language Pathologist with 0-3 as her career. I’m very grateful she can use her passion to help kids.
I started the year saying I'm good and didn't want to add calibers; so much for that. Need, no. Interested in something new, yes.
I am in the process of finalizing a 325 WSM LH. Smoking deal so I couldn't pass it up. It comes with about 100 rounds of new and once fired brass. I just need to...
I know where there is a Cooper 25-06. Beautiful wood and an older model from when they were being made in Stevensville, MT.
Only drawback is that it is a single shot and not a mag fed rifle. It would be in my safe right now if not for the single shot. 🙂
I agree with Guy and JD338. The weight gain with 100gr will outweigh any potential velocity gain dropping to 85gr. Personally, I've also found my accuracy is better with a heavier bullet with what I load. I also tend to stick with a load and not tinker much once I find a sweet spot.
Additionally, if a hunter manages to gain access to private land, the landowner gets a carcass coupon and is reimbursed from Game and Fish based on species. This of course doesn't include any access fee the landowner may request from a sportsman. There is an idea here that if you lease land from...
I am by no means discounting the impact and completely agree with you; it is a tag increase, and even the majority of the resident tags have become draw tags. There are over 100 units for antelope (all draw), a 130 for elk and over 100 for deer. A small percentage of units are general hunt units...
Also, from taking a look at the bill, it looks as though they are targeting application fees only.
Residents currently pay $5 for limited quota applications and non-residents pay $15. This used to be free.
The bill is looking to raise the application fee to $20 for residents and $75 for non-...
One of the issues we have in Wyoming is that Game and Fish is funded strictly from tag sales, both resident and non-resident. There are a handful of new legislators with the 2024 election that have zero idea that they( general fund) do not fund G&F. Maybe this changes, but currently, they are...
+1. This is imperative. I tend to break my boots in at work since I'm on my feet all day. My wife got me a pair of Danner's for Christmas and I wore them on New Year's Eve. Ended up walking about 9 miles at work that day and they are trending in the right direction. You don't have to be anywhere...
Thanks for clarifying. It was a few years ago and since the order was never fulfilled, I missed out. I wanted that specific caliber because my grandfather hunted deer with a 6mm and I shot my first blacktail with that cartridge. My dad was kind and brought my grandfather's rifle for my kids to...
Great looking rig. I believe this model was offered around 1999-2000. I had one ordered in 6mm Rem and the order was never fulfilled. I believe Remington called them the VL something or other because if I remember right, they were all small bore calibers.
