I have the African in 275 rigby (7x57). It’s prolly the best feeling Ruger I’ve ever handled. Only shot one deer with it, cause it stays in the safe lol. I’ll either hunt with it this fall, or will keep it put back for my daughter when she gets big enough. Would love to have one in 6.5x55 also...
Welcome! I’m on several forums, and this is the best one I’ve ever been a part of. All the folks here will do everything they can to help you out.

Awesome pictures and you have a fine taste in firearms! I’m currently working with a new model 70 in 416 rem mag.

I stole a bedroom in the house, I’m just not cutout for loading with no air conditioning anymore [emoji23]. It gets way to hot and humid in MS for that.

Mighty fine skills from the rifleman also. To take a beating like that and still shoot excellent lol. That’s an awesome load man.

That was actually my favorite bullet in the 270 win. I always used the 130 grain. I can’t remember when they stopped making them, I’m thinking it was the early 2000’s when I could no longer find them. The 150 grain silvertip 30/06 was very popular for deer here in MS when I was growing up also...

Yes I agree should of been in an intermediate action length or just a long action. My little Ruger African in 275 rigby is on a long action, and it really helps.

Sharp rifle and it’s a shooter too. I’ve always loved those BLR’s, but I’ve yet to own one. Always wanted a 257 bob too, seems like a great whitetail setup you have there.
