    9mm x 19

I believe the dies for the 9mm Luger work also with the 9x21 and 9x23. There is only one set that serves multiple cartridges. The same with most 38/357 or 44mag/44 spcl die sets. I would double check with either the seller or the manufacture prior to bidding.

    runnout

Woods, I`ve found the collet dies always leave a small ring at the shoulder/neck junction due to Lee allowing clearance for the difference in headspace from various chambers. The die is built to allow for the max headspace and still work without the shoulder interfering. A tight headspaced...

Which Primer Seater do you use?

I`m on my 3rd Lee priming tool. The 1st was a "thumb" tool from the mid 60s they then came out with the auto prime. I`ve no idea how many rds they are good for, but its a bunch. At the price and how well they work I figure they are worth replacing every 15 or so yrs.

    reloading 9mm

With taper crimps on semi-auto ammo like your 9mm, or a 45acp, all you want is to iron out the "bell" or "flare" on your case mouth. The bullet should be held by neck tension not the crimp. Too much crimp will bulge the case behind the bullet and cause feed problems, and can actually cause the...

    reloading 9mm

Run them through your sizer to true them up and ensure the mouths are round. If your die isn`t carbide be sure to use a bit of lube when you do it. Trim the brass to the shortest cases lenght to square the mouths if you want, I normally don`t, and load away. :P

    Reloading .44 magnum redhawk

Load to the lenght the data was built around. The manuals will have that listed with the data for the bullet. The 300 gr is listed at 1.60" in the latest Hornady manual. BTW it pays to check for the proper lgt when useing very heavy for caliber bullets to insure that they will fit the cylinder...

    barrel

Measure from the bolt face to the muzzle. With the bolt closed put a cleaning rod in the bore touching the bolt face, Mark the rod at the muzzle and measure the lenght from rod tip to mark, that is the barrel lenght.

How do you tell an F.N from other mauser bolt rifles.

The through bolt could have been added. My Mark X was a barreled action to start. Interarms sold them both as a bbl`ed action and a stocked rifle at that time, the early 1990s. If it was stocked by some smith he might have added the bolt to prevent a crack behind the recoil lug if the wood was...

    hornadys lock and load guage

Actually the major problem is the distance from the shoulder to the bolt face, not the OAL of the brass. The gage will headspace differently then ammo you custom fit to your chamber. The best case to use is one fired in your chamber. The difference though is very small and in either case won`t...

How do you tell an F.N from other mauser bolt rifles.

Is this the rifle? http://www.remington.com/products/firea ... el_798.asp Remington is now the importer for what was the old InterArms Mark X M98 clones. They are made in Yugoslavia and were banned by embargo for a while during the Balken war. Charlas Daley started importing them after the...

    Well I said good night,but not good-bye.

As much as I hate to admit it Obama isn`t behind your problem. It was Bush and Home Land Security that shut down ammo and firearms shipping in the fight against terror. They now require a ton of red tape and not everyone wants to or can afford the licensing to do it. I`ve heard some of your...

    Nosler competition bullets...

Both of my 223s shoot the Nosler 52gr very well, and my Swede does a good job of putting the 140 gr Nosler CC in small groups. It`s a great bullet IMO.

    seating depth

I start at the lands and work my load up to max then reduce seating 0.005" until the sweet spot seems to be reached. You can`t just pick a lgt IMO and have it magically work in every rifle. Mine all seem to want something within 0.050" of touching though, with the exception of a old Swede I had...

Need a good load for 223 REM

I like Benchmark for 55gr and under bullets, and Varget for the heavier. H4895 also works very well in my rifles with 50-53gr match bullets.

    Compressed Load ?

Check the cartridge for a change in COL a day or two after loading. If the bullet has moved out of the case any reduce the load if not and the load has been worked up and is in your manual, go for it. I`ve loaded enought IMR4350 in my 30-06 with 150 gr bullets to fill the case to the mouth of...

    copper wont go away

Try Midway. http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/?p ... ber=784639 I`ve seen one or two of the other foaming cleaners at Gander Mountain and our local gunshop. Look around and you might find it close to home.

    copper wont go away

Fill the bore with Wipe Out foam, let set till morning and patch out the bore. A 2nd application might be needed for a really bad bore. No brushing, endless patching, or smelling harsh solvents........
