Friend of mine has run them over his and it was just over 4000 fps! Custom Vanguard with Mark V barrel basically ! He worked up to that really slow and not sure if he backed it down any as he probably has not!

What kinda rig ya shooting? It is sure getting close to being a tack driver real close!! H4831 has been doing great things for many years!

As long as they do not come up from behind ya and call the range hot or cold I think you will be ok :lol: our range will take your range card if they catch ya shooting at anything other than a target, all animals are off limits! Too many other things going on at our range to be sending errant...

I think you should be GTG with those rings as they are for sure quality! Sounds like a nice build and can't wait to hear how it shoots small clover leafs or even bug holes :)

I like that power range for a long range rig as you will not be in need of any extra magnification! I think you will enjoy it as much as the rifle for sure ! What kinda mounts and rings ya going with? I wanted to go up in magnification on my PMII but really did not need to where I shoot at as...

Looks like some Swaro BT glass on the 280, have ya tried any of the Leupolds to compete against the Swaro? None of my Leupolds came close to my 3.5-18 Swaro! Lowlight test ! but my FXIII 6X42 came closer to competing with the Swaro than did the Var X III ! That 270 has sure got a glow about her...
