I did a lot of work with a 260 . I have posted up a bunch of load data , but it's scattered through these threads . maybe something I have listed will help you in the future . I think I pretty much used , RL26 , and RL17 powders . I used H4895 for the reduced loads ...
Alliant RL26 , 50.4 grains , 3005 FPS . the case fill , at max load , is a little high at 107.9% . if you used a drop tube powder funnel , I doubt you would have any issues .
the big problem with this powder is finding it .
I have a friend that is wanting some work done on his #1 . I can remember you guys talking about a gunsmith that specializes in the #1's . would you guys give me that info , so I can pass it along to him . Thank you
thanks Fellas , I learned something already today .
I've looked at these bullet profiles , and thought they were very similar . I never thought they would sell them under two different names .

I don't have the " game changer " bullet listed . I do have a " tipped game king " that should get info close enough to keep you out of trouble .
6.5 staball gives a good case fill . it's down on velocity by about 200 FPS , compared to the top powders . I'd say it's worth a try , since...
yesterday I stopped at a rest area , and struck up a conversation with a truck driver . I asked what he was hauling . he said he had $800 worth of walnut trees headed for New York . he couldn't get over the fact a few young kids ordered these trees . have a good day Dan . :giggle:
a little off topic . might save you guys a few bucks , on a future purchase .
there is a guy in our lease that is sold on vortex . anytime someone mentions optics Bill says , don't forget to check with A&A optics .

I'm guessing you should be able to find both of these bullets in the bullet test section . the guys usually have pictures ,retained weight , amount of penetration , and expanded diameter . from my experience the partition behaves like a partition, regardless of the weight . if you are...
yes , you're reading that right . this was a last day kill . we didn't have time to get it to the processor . the guides quartered it up . after they had it quartered and in the cooler , one of them brought that bullet in . he said it was in the near front leg , and never made it to the...
this 160 grain accubond bullet was shot from my 7mm rem mag . muzzle velocity approximately 3050 FPS . the bullet broke the front leg bone , through the chest and was recovered in the off side front leg, against the skin . almost made it the whole way through . bullet weighs 89.3 grain ...
this bullet was recovered in the on side , front leg , of a moose . this shot was about 200 yards . I didn't get to see where in the leg it was removed . I can only assume it was against the leg bone . the leg was not broken .
Guy , I'd love to be able to get around the guys that train those dogs . those guys have forgot more about training , than I could ever hope to know . I've never seen the LE dogs work in person , but I've seen it on TV . WOW , are they impressive dogs .
we got Sally when she was one year...
thank you Fellas , I'm really happy with Sally . I've learned a bunch on handling her when we go tracking . She just keeps getting better . I think we didn't find two . one was on our lease . she really didn't seem very interested in tracking it . a few days later we got pics of that deer...
yesterday evening I took a 9 point with my crossbow . I shot it at 5:40 pm . I decided to run home and get my dog Sally while I was waiting for time to track . I knew where it stood when I shot , and I picked out a few landmarks that it passed when it ran off . I got Sally close to where...
