WT- You have been given some great tips and advice. The rifle will come clean it is just a matter of time and how quick. In all honesty I would get some Boretech Eliminator. Its an amzing product and will honestly help speed up the process. Also JB bore paste will help cut the crud real quick.
AC Great shooting there. I would double check your velocity with either another chrony or just yours again. Also what porgram are you using? IMO if you know your actual velocity its usually the BC that needs a little adjusting to make things perfect. Published BC can be inflated a bit or...
Too tall- the rifle is just a factory rem700 sendero. I did install the trigger and will bed the action.
Mike- The stock is probably the most comfy stock I've shot. John burns was extremely helpful. If I didn't like the stock I could ship it back no questions asked. The only thing I was unsure...
Just finished getting this rifle setup. Gonna take it to WY later this year to draw first blood. This rifle has been very fun to shoot already and the stock is amazing.

Randy- You may want to try RL22 if you have any on hand. Ive had good results with it in my 243. Also have you tried using a Magnum primer with the retumbo load?
Thats a great result. Glad you posted that as I just found a great load with the 90gr etip in my 243AI and was wondering about how the etips expand at longer range. Can't wait to try them out this season.
I think the sendero 7rum is a 1in 9.5 if im not mistaken. I've heard of some guys getting them to shot 180vld and others not being able to get them to stabilize. Good luck and let us know how it shoots.
RR That is a beauty of a rifle. Kirby sure builds some nice guns. What bullet are you shooting?
My favorite rifle is an Abolt 270win. Almost sold it in a moment of weakness. Good thing I didnt!
Beretzs,
Looks like a promising load. IMR4350 would be great. I love the 243 and thinks its a great caliber. Have taken deer, antelope and a few wild pigs with mine. Never lost an animal yet. A well placed shot is more important IMO.
So many choices out there. Are you stuck on 6.5? If so 6.5-06 or 6.5x284 would be my choice. If you want a real wildcat how about a 6.5-280AI? How about a 257wsm?257wby? Will this be a SA or LA build?
Very nice rifle POP! I just loaded some 140NAB over Ramshot Magnum for mine. Hope to test them this weekend.
Here is mine:
P.S Ignore the Weatherby box. Grabbed the wrong box.
the match versions aren't real bad, the orange box I don't like at all, out of 3 deer shot last season at ranges of 230, 457, 493, none exited, 2 never even made it into the chest cavity in one piece, with liver hits. any bullet should penetrate and exit a whitetail at 500 yards. I'm still on...
Nitis, There are many good stocks out there. The HS is a great stock and is very popular. The 1.250 would be great and free floated barrel for sure. Take a look at some others if you aren't set on the HS. Mcmillan has many nice stocks. Also check out the greybull precisions stocks. I am...
