If some of you frequent 24hourcampfire I posted it there to so I apologize for doubling up. But for ya'll who dont, I made this movie for my little sister today. This was my first time playing with editing software but I like the way the pictures, video, and music turned out. My Mom and sister both called me in tears. I was surprised they liked it that much! Anyways, let me know what ya think! Here ya go!

Congratulations to your sister on a very nice buck sounds like you have a close family which is nice to see  Do you have any details on gun, bullet, range etc looks like a pretty long shot. Nicely put together video it's easy to see how proud you are of her.

The young lady did very well indeed. Great tribute to your sister. Thanks for sharing.

DeerTracker that was excellent and she'll have that memory forever! Really nice job on the video and just a really nice beautiful whitetail buck. He sure looked in good shape and fat!

DT - very cool, nice job on the video. The memory of the first one is perserved in splendid fashion!!

DT- That is absolutely AWESOME! You did excellent. That young lady put a heckuva great shot onto that deer too! Man, congrats to you and her! That was awesome. Love it when the young folks get into hunting! What a great buck! Scotty

Thanks guys! We were extremely proud of her. Started her out shooting my Mom's little Sako 223 Rem. last summer. She was a little unsure of her shooting abilities with anything larger than a 22lr. I took her to the range and she proceded to prove this to herself...

Then my Dad bought her a Marlin XS7Y 7mm-08. She shot it some at the range and she wasnt to fond of the recoil and noise. Dad had her shooting 120gr Federal Fusions. I took her out the day before regular season opened which was the 2nd day of the youth season. We had already discussed the fact that she was not going to shoot a buck yet unless it was huge since our Dad was back in the mountains elk hunting. I wanted him to see her take her first buck also. But anyways, she missed the shot on the doe. I was extremely proud of her because I figured she would be super upset that she missed. After we confirmed that she did miss, She just looked at me and my girlfriend and said, "Well, We will get em another day!" I couldnt believe it!

Fast forward to Halloween Day. We went out with the other guy seen in the video. We were all hunting the same land but different parts of it. The bigger bucks are always in the area he was hunting so he took us out. We set up on the ridge and watched the sun come up. It was pretty chilly but Abby was a trooper. Directly to the north of us about 200 yards away was a hay corral with a 10 foot fence. Inside the fence was a doe and a really nice 5x5. We were in the process of trying to figure out how to push him towards Dad and Abby when Dad turned around and looked to the south and there were 4 bucks walking through the brush.

I have no doubt that the Lord sent this buck to us. He walked out of the brush and left the others. He was walking almost straight towards us. So we all crawled to the edge of the ridge. We had both the 223 and 7mm08 with us. Abby had been carrying the 223 all season but she told Dad to hand her the "big" gun. We got her all set up on the bipod and I set the camera up. As you can see in the video, we just let him keep coming to us. When he cleared some brush, Dad whistled and he stopped at 190 yards. Dad told her to take the safety off and shoot when she was ready. She let one fly and it hit him perfect! He ended up scoring 130" and was the biggest out of all 6 bucks we took off that property!

She did well DT! Heck, you have to be a trooper out in the elements and waiting on those bucks. That is a very nice WT she took. I bet there are alot of folks on here that would have been beside themselves to take a buck like that! Scotty

Congrats Abby! That is a nice deer. Way to handle yourself too! By the way, Most excellent job and effort the big brother. You done good! CL

That is great! She should be as happy as she looks with a buck like that for her first!
