Welcome. RL 15 is a good powder. Just wondering why such a light bullet in a 30-06? From my experience the 06 performs better with a little heavier bullet. Maybe a 150 or 165. Just my .02.
I also agree. The 17hmr is fun to target shoot and plink. I have one and love it. I also bought a 223 for a longer range squirrel gun and coyote gun. A buddy just got the 17 fireball and WOW. That thing is a bam flop gun on squirrels and coyotes. Only downside is small grain bullets.
JD I was thinking the same thing. Its a SA so if u know of a deal on one let me know. I was gonna first try to fit it to the Tupperware stock as I just bedded it all n removed the pressure point. It was shooting so nice. Under 1/2" at 100. Do I use the spring, follower n magazine box from the...
Hey guys! I have found a complete trigger guard assembly with magazine box, follower and even action screws. Was wondering how hard it would be to convert my ADL to this? I just don't like not having a drop box but the rifle was a great deal. Would it be very hard? Also considering a new stock...
Victor I just recently bedded a few remington tupperware stocks. I used devcon plastic steel in the putty form. It worked amazing. I would recommend it. I did however rough up the stock in the places I put it. That way it had more to grab and hold to. Good luck.
My lil bro has been playing with the 40gr in his 22-250. Has been getting very good groups with H380. I think his remington is a 1:12 and it shoots them just fine. I really like the bullets. Going to try some in my 223 soon.
Shoots. Has the rifle shoot under that before? You might want to check to see if the action/stock is bedded. Your barrel may be heating up and touching. Just some things to check before a new barrel.
Thanks guys. Shot some groups last weekend and 106 sure was the ticket. Im going to play with OAL and see how tight I can get it. Shot about 3/4" group. POP what does QL say is the max load of retumbo for the 30-378 with 200gr accubond. I've heard retumbo really gains pressure when close to max...
Sask I just recently started bedding my rifles. Have done 5 rifles so far. I have seen some improvements in all rifles. As far as accuracy a few showed real improvements. One rifle in particular I bedded because I couldnt get it to shoot consistent groups. After bedding it shoots tacks. I would...
I live in the lead free zone. I am shooting the 100gr Barnes tipped over ramshot magnum. Shoots very good. Took a blacktail this year. Dead in its tracks. My dad took it to WY with us and took an antelope n whitetail. Both ran about 30 yards. Give them a try. Ill look up my load and let you know...
