    6.5X57

I have had a few guns in that caliber and I ended selling the guns again. Not because of the caliber but because of the guns. It´s a nice classic german caliber and many fine guns can be found next to nothing overhere in 6,5x57 because modern ammunition does not comply with the huntinglaws in...

Allegations and condemnations never bring anything good with them in their wake. A good strong substanciated argument can move a mountain and everybody who reads it gets moved(educated). Some people can not get educated in the walks of life and peace by with them. This is a good forum. I...

    My Elephant Gun

If I today should choose to have a .400cal boltgun the .404Jeffery would the one. It´s a cartridge from 1905 and have been battleproven. It can be chambered in a standardlength Mauser 98 action. Sharing Yellowstone in case some have not been there before.

The Northwest is still something I haven´t yet seen. Many thanks for sharing some very pretty landscapes from Wyo. The Northwestern USA represent the true "American west". Montana and Wyoming is for me still something I must experience.

    reloads for 400/350

Well... I had a Rigbymauser in that caliber once. I sold it because the bore was no good. Load was 60 grain Norma 202 to a 310grain bullet from Woodleigh. I used Horneber brass. Velocity was about 660 m/sek. Is yours a double or a repeter?.

    Pictures from Southafrika sept 2014.

Thanks you all!!. I too love the dry and sandy desert. I am sure New Mexico, Arizona or Southern California present very similar climate too like Kalahari just with different animals.

    Would you shoot it?

Beautiful rifle!. Shoot or not to shoot?. Well it´s darn too nice to be a truckgun that´s for sure. My philosophy is no gun is too nice not to be fired atleast once awhile. I would take such gun out for special occasion like people who drive their customcars out on sunny days for a spin.
