I had a self-climbing stand slip off my feet 25' up and was left holding onto the climber handle.
That was a hard slide to the ground wearing only a camo Tee shirt many years ago. Not a lot of fun, I fixed the straps so they couldn't accidently slip off my boots.
Lesson learned the hard way.😠
Depends on what you're using it for. If you have a match chamber in the pistol it doesn't matter much if the OAL of the brass different from piece to piece. I want mine to be .89"-.90" and anything undergoes (.88") into the practice can anything under that goes into the recycle box. Pistol brass...
They were custom Ranger shooting glasses with removeable lenses, each lens for a different shooting application, red dot and open sights, ground to my prescription. All lenses were tinted a light Rose to counter UV rays.
I have gone several was as my eyes aged and now looking at cataract surgery and single distance vision and wear reading glasses when I need to see things close up.
At present I wear progressive lenses that worked fairly well for years but did have a doctor make up a pair of shooting glasses that...
I used to use nothing but Nosler brass only I bought their blemished bullets and brass except for their .45 JHP 185 gr bullets that I used in pistol matches.
Nosler had some growing pains several years ago and bought out a company to handle product distribution for SPS.
QC seemed to go...
Thanks for the links, Scotty.
Haven't been in upstate for quite a while. Sort of miss it since it is beautiful and the people are so nice as long as you stay out of the big cities.
Sometime ago I think it was Fotis who posted about these new powders from Australia and was wonder if anyone has been using them to replace the powders that are unavailable?
Yeah, I do also.
Still have and use the one I bought from Fotis. ( Chrony ) Mine has the remote read out which I like since I have trouble seeing the read out on the ones that don't have that feature.
I did manage to shoot it with one of my pellet rifles since the scope sets really high above...
I'm not into tactical optics so I can't really help you with a Red/Green dot sight but if I were in need of a tactical sight it would be a Lazer type where you just point and shoot.
I use pistol scopes and red dot sights for target shooting but my defense pistol is a Colt Detective model with a...
Very nicely done.
When I first started annealing brass, I got a deep well socket and a short extension that would fit the size of my brass and used a handheld drill to turn the brass and my hand-held propane torch for a heat source. SJB358 gave me the idea, and I watched a few U-tubes and...
Thanks Dan, when something goes astray, I try my best to find out why so I can avoid having it happen a second time. I guess it comes from being a product of the greatest generation that has ever lived in our country since both of my parents came up during the depression. My Dad always said if...
After the case of Magtech primers arrived I decide to do a velocity test using the four different brands of large pistol primers I had on hand after talking with Fotis while trying to find a Brisance chart which would tell which primer was hotter.
I have Fiocchi, Winchester, Federal and Magtech...
Hi Paul, I only shot reloads in my M700 classic and was accused of trying to turn it into a magnum. I had managed to get 3000fps out of it with a 200gr AB but was felling heavy bolt lift and backed it off till the heavy lift stopped and was still getting over 2900fps out of it.
My 35 Whelen AI...
It seems like it was many years ago I was looking to go on an Elk hunt in Montana, my largest caliber rifle was a 30-06, everyone I read about was using 300 WW or a 338WW. One of the fellows here had a 35Whelen Remington 700 Classic for sale with dies and brass plus some bullets to add to the...
The wife was intrigued by the movie and looked up the recipe for Ratatouille and makes it on occasions for a change of pace.
Being meat and potatoes type a meatless meal is something one has to get used to.
