39 down, man i'd be lucky to get that many in a lifetime around here. Hope to get more than my average of one or two a season. They are very difficult to call around here especially later in the season after they have been hunted a bit. Most guys are baiting and waiting, not much appeal in that...
Yeah I have a wssm and went through issues with my bolt being hard to close. This seemed to be a different issue though than what I was having with my wssm. This was the round going in but then my bolt would not close at all, so I thought something else was going on. I think it's the same issue...
That must be what is going on, I'll have to re check my dies and cases. How do you measure the shoulder to case head measurement, is there a tool or are you just using a caliper .
I am fairly new to loading for this caliber and seem to be having a few issues with re sizing my cases. I am using lee dies, winchester brass and a lee breach lock challenger press. As an example, if I size 10 cases, sometimes I will get one that won't chamber, it requires another run through...
I finally got up to the range again, this time with the 140 bt. First groups were with IMR 4350 started at 59.5 then 60 and 60.4 grains which is max load. All shot fairly well with the 60 grain load being the best at around an inch, but still not what I was hoping for. I loaded up 3 with 67.4...
I bought one in an x bolt but now am wondering if I should have gone with a model 70, I think the model 70 action and safety is much better than the browning. I like the lines of the x bolt and really liked the Dura touch finish on the stock, but the action is notchy and the tang safety is not...
I see on the aliant site that RL 22 and 25 give better velocities than 19, was thinking about trying 25 if the 4350 doesn't work out. Do you have any experience with 25?
Well, I just found out my local store can't get magpro and my loads with 760 were not what I was hoping for, I'm taking a break with the 150's for now. I've got some 140 BT's to try now, gonna start out with IMR 4350 and take it from there.
I dump out the bulk of it, then clean out the primer pockets with a rag, let them sit for a couple days, which gets most of it out, then tumble them in my vibratory cleaner. They come out better than new.
Spray a small amount of wd-40 in each case and let them sit, standing up, for 10 minutes or so, this will make the primers inert. That is what someone on another form had posted and it seems to work well, at least I haven't had a problem yet anyway. But to be safe, wear safety glasses and keep...
I always carry my Russel Belt knife made by grohman in Pictou Nova Scotia, they are excellent quality and also look nice.

I have had good luck with win supreme 780 in my 130 BT loads, but it is not working with the 150 grain sst. I have IMR 4350, H4350 and win 760 on hand as well. Out of those powders which would be my best bet, I'm hoping to not have to try all three.
I had a 30/06 mountain rifle that kicked like a mule too, not fun to shoot at all. I ended up getting a .223 mainly to shoot and a .243 as a backup for hunting deer/coyote. Well I ended up using the .223 and .243 for eveything and sold the '06. I have since added a .270 wsm that kicks as much as...
I have a m70 super shadow in .243 wssm and have only had one difficult round to feed out of hundreds fired. I was also considering the .25 wssm as an elk rifle when I lived in Calgary, but decided it was a bit on the light side. It would probably work but why take the chance. If you're shot...
