5-22lr
4-12ga
1-17
1-223
2 -243 win
2-6mm rem
1-270 win
2 - 7mmRM
2-308 win
1 -300 win
1-300 Bee
Lots of overlap , want to add a 444 or 45-70.
Also would like a win 88 in 308 like my grandfather had. And a savage99 in 250/3000, like my uncle had.

I would stick with a PT 210-225. The thing with monos is you want light for caliber bullets pushed fast, almost defeats the purpose of a 338. I would think the 225 AB would be another great option

Unless you are self guiding bears are not your problem , that will be your outfitters responsibility.
I would take the 300 Bee with a good 180-200 gr bullet for your buddy.
And I would take your 280 with a 160 gr accubond or partition and go hunt.

1- I just enjoy reloading and tinkering with loads.
I don't think it has saved me any money because I just find myself buying more equipment and then more guns. Lol.
Example - I found a set of 300 win RCBS dies for sale at 50% of retail . So I bought them ... well what good is a set of dies...
That's awesome service by both company's! I think Leupold has taken a lot of flack over the Vortex no questions asked policy, looks like they are stepping it up with similar service.'
Korth group has always treated me fair with any dealings I have had with them. They get a real not in there...
Ya she got it last year, we were just talking about bullets and he had this in the ashtray of his truck. He doesn't collect recovered bullets I have quite a few so he gave it to me..

I've got a mix of both. I really love the look and feel of wood.. And would love an custom Accurate Innovations woodstock .
But hunting in the Elements synthetic is nice.
I really like my Hogue stock in my coyote rifle. Especially when it's cool out.

Myself would be a 416 Rem on a 700 action , heavier barrel contour #4-5 finished at 21" with a Vias muzzle brake.
Wildcat , B&C,or Mcmillan stock depending on availability.
Quick detach scope and good irons as a back up. That's what I'd want for dangerous game.
Plains game I'd bring my 300...
Although I have had good luck with Wlr primers lots of people won't use them and there was a recall on some batches a few years back.
I can't give any advise on enduron powders as I have yet to play with them. But any reading I have done shows the should be quite easy to work with. The best...
This is a 140 gr fusion that my buddy recovered out of his wife's cow elk.
Her rifle is a browning X-Bolt in 270wsm. He figured it was a 120 yard shot.
I weighed it and it is at 90.7 grs retained weight and expanded over .5" .
I'm impressed with this although small sample size.

I find sometimes they don't like heading straight into a stand if they have a wind not in their favour. A lot of guys set up to call them into a crosswind, they feel more secure you just need to be ready to kill them before they hit your sent cone.
Once the call goes on don't move, zero...
In a scout gun set up I personally would reload 150 gr sierra pro hunters for target practice and general shooting . And load the 150 gr Partitions for actual hunting!!
With the box mag of the savage the longer ballistic tip/sst style bullets are seated so deep , I find it a tough compromise...
Head shot beaver die easy , my favourite is a 17hmr. But have taken numerous with a 22lr. Many prefer the 22 mag . Best thing with using a rimfire is if you wack one and stay still the others will be out swimming around within a few minutes . If it's damage control your after that's the...
We use that system in the barn for mice, but instead of water where they start to really stink we put about an inch of windshield washer anti freeze in the bottom of the bucket. Cuts down on the smell by 95%.

A general location of where abouts your at in N/A you are would help determine where a qualified smith that could help would be.
I've seen some work from Williams Gunsights, and stunning is a word that comes to mind.
That being said researching which smiths like working on the Mauser action is...
