Remington dropped the ball on the 260 Rem from the get-go: For the longest time, factory loadings were either 120 Ballistic Tip, or 140 grain soft point like it was Tube fed or something.

700LH based .260 & .308 for everything in the South East where I live. I'm planning to build a Mod 70 LH pattern 338-06AI this year.

My old 300WM used HS-Precision RUM mags, & worked wonderfully. I suppose I could go that route again, but I don't want a detach mag this time. I was hoping someone had already determined the max COAL using the Wyatt's. Looks like that will be my 1st step.
