Great shooting. I think you have a good load there! We shoot Varget or IMR4350 in my wife’s 7mm-08, but that Big Game looks to be worth a try!
Magnum primers with spherical powder makes perfect sense. Better ignition, especially in extreme weather.
Those MS rifles are certainly cool. A neighbor in the little town where I grew up had one, but in .30-06! And boy could he shoot it.
I’ve never personally been a fan of mannlicher full length stocks. But that action with the set triggers, butterknife bolt handle and rotary magazine are...
My Ruger M77 1-14” twist .22-250 shoots the 55 grain Sierra Gameking very well but the 55 grain Nosler BT won’t shoot worth a darn.
My Dad’s Remington 700 1-14” twist .22-250 shoots the 55 grain NBT extremely well. 🤦♂️
Yeah this Tisas has been very impressive so far! Love the Parkerized finish and fit of all the parts.
The only complaint I have is the sights. They are the rudimentary GI type sights which I thought would be just fine but they are a bit tough to see as there is no daylight on either side of...
Who does everyone prefer? I went to Tisas website to order some additional mags for my 1911 A1 9mm but the reviews there were a crap shoot. Apparently its a random draw, which brand (Mec-gar, Sabatti, others) they will send whether or not it’s functional. So rather than roll the dice, I think I...

Every time I get excited about adding a few more to the herd, an appliance takes a dump or a vehicle needs tires etc. Been remodeling the house too. Insulation, plywood, hardware, paint, et al really cuts into a fellows folding money.
I bought a Stoeger Uplander 20 gauge SxS a while back...
I have several points for Wyoming in both Antelope and Deer. But like you I am considering just cutting my losses and saying forget it. Like everyone else I bought points, saving up the necessary minimum to draw and expected to draw. Thanks to point creep and tag reductions we did not draw last...
As others have stated, the 100 grain Partition is the bullet you want for the parameters you have described. Over the years I’ve guided a couple of younger hunters who used a .243 flinging the 100 grain Partition to take down cow elk. All their shots were under 250 yards and broadside. I cannot...
Again, hunting is becoming way too expensive for regular folks. I don’t care what the reasons may be for raising prices, the reality is, it becomes increasingly more expensive to hunt for an increasingly worst experience on public land.
I just hate seeing this all go to heck.
