I just measured a 130 factory Sirocco and it is 3.50 in., I don't have any 127g but believe they are the same. I am running my 140 accubonds at 3400fps, 3.535 OAL. That was where my best groups were.
Question Fotis, do you leave the tip pressure lump in or sand it out? My gun builder beds the first 3 inch of barrel and free floats the rest, also clearance on sides of action and floating magazine box.
Excellent load Fotis, Noslers have worked for me for so long I will stick with them until Oregon goes to leadless bullets which I hope is after I am gone.
Guy, you can bow hunt in Oregon with an over the counter tag for elk and deer. Our elk season starts the last Saturday in August and runs for 4 weeks through the rut. 3 point or better where I live. Just a thought as you aren't to far away.
Guy, I have been bow hunting elk in Oregon since 1985 and you will really enjoy it. I started with PSE and now shoot Mathews. I recommend reading some articles on bow tuning as it will simplify things.
Got my 210 partition load done, 94g of RL26 at 3200+ fps, groups 1/2 to 7/8 in. Still working on the 225g load if it don't come together the 210's will get the job done. Velocities were very close to Quick load, a little slower maybe because of the freebore. thanks to everyone who did Quick load...
I hear you Elkman, we can be grateful that we can still get around good enough to hunt elk. I see people at the gym a lot younger than me that can barely walk much less hike the hills.
Elkman, I have been hunting elk since 1965 so when elk calling got popular like most people I was calling too much. Made many mistakes over the years but tried to learn from them.
Welcome back, first I would take stock off and check for any barrel to stock tight spots and if ok then try another scope unless that one is proven to be good. Also those acc long range bullets can be finicky.
