    Im impressed !

Been wanting one of the Ruger Scout rifles for a while, but held back because of owning a CZ 550 FL in .308 winchester that's very accurate and I will never sell it. Finally bought a Ruger Scout rifle .308 and what a winner IMO. I'm not much into the tactical stuff but this scout rifle will make...

    Got a rare 45-70

I have one about like that in 45/70 with 26 " barrel. 1/2 round barrel. Mine have the straight grip not the pistol grip. I will try to get a pic up in the next day. I think mine was a dealer special.

    Just couldn't do it

After a few years my rifles become part of the family. Be like getting rid of a kid. Hard to improve upon a Sako, that why the prices stay up there on a Sako. You have all the bases covered with your rifles.

    Picked up Sako

That is a real nice one. Is it the deluxe model? I think older Sako's are the high water mark in factory rifles. I lucky to have one in 7mm-08 made about 1985.

Browning X-Bolt Hunter or Winchester M70 Featherweight

That's a hard one IMO. The Browning are normally very accurate, but with that being said I would go with the new Winchester model 70 because of the classic rifle design. The new Model 70 that I have shot have been accurate and will last a life time.

    Lets see that one rifle...

Just have to say this is one great forum. You guys really have some nice rifles. My Winchester featherweight .264 Mag with a 22 inch barrel is just little more than a .270 Win. IMO. I have only shot factory ammo through it. It groups about 1 1/2 inch 5 shot group at a 100 yards with Remington...

    25/06 E-tip load ?

Just bought some Nosler E-tip 100 gr bullets for my 25/06 and am trying to find a good load for my Ruger #1 with a 26 inch barrel. I checked my lastest Nosler reloading manual and can not find any loading data at all useing the E-tip bullet. Thanks

    Remington model 700 VTR

Anybody have a Remington M700 VTR with the triangular barrel ? I have shot them and they seem accurate, but was wondering if there was a advantage over the round barrel.

    300 h&h

I bought a Ruger #1 in 300 H&H about a year ago and it quickly became one of my favorites. For one all around rifle this could be it. I installed a Leupold FXIII 6X and the eye relief is just right. Out of the box it was shooting around 1 MOA at 100 yards. I have had LW 30/06 with more recoil...

Scotty I think I just got the twin to your 35 REM~

About 2 years ago I bought my first Marlin lever action I had ever owned. It was a older 45/70 in excellent condition. I can't believe I have cheated my self for many years by mainly being interested only in bolt actions. Since then I have bought 2 used model 336,one in 30/30 and the other in 35...

    Hunt with 6.8 Remington ?

When it comes to hunting rifle I'm afraid I do alot thats redundant and don't make much sense. Two 243's,7-08, .308, 6.5x55,7x57,25/06, 270 win,30/06,30/30 and the list goes on. My wife is getting into hunting and she more comfortable with the AR than any rifle we own. She does quite well at the...

    Hunt with 6.8 Remington ?

My wife and I have been shooting the Military rifle match at the local gun range once a month. My wife does quite well and on the way home Saturday she was telling she wishes she could hunt with her AR. Last night I was looking at the 6.8 Rem. cartridge and it looks close to the 250 Savage in...
