A couple 2023 catches

I usually apply for everything in Wy (short term) After 23 years of not hunting in Africa, I’ve got the bug to go back. So my long term plan is 8–10 years, and hunt the Big 5. I’m not wealthy, so it will be non trophy elephant and darted Rhino

We use partitions in all our rifles, 243,270,30-06, 300’s, & 375 H&H. I do have some A frames to try in 375 & 458. Although I have never had any issue with the partitions. I guess I’m too old and set in my ways to try to fix something that’s not broken as far as I’m concerned.

I’m pretty sure they discontinued the 235 ‘s a few years ago. I used them on plains game in Africa in 99 and they got the job done.

Teri uses a Weatherby 30-06 with hand loaded 165 grn Partitions. My rifle is a Kimber Montana’ 300 win mag, with hand loaded 180 grn partitions . We both have an Antelope doe tag and are trying to fill those with open sighted rifles. This is something we try to do each year with our doe tags.

He is 24” wide, the deep forks puts him around the 178” mark.

My wife and I have had a great fall here in Wyoming.
