If I try the 150gr .264 that’s good to know. potentially keeps more case space for powder.

Great info! I assume Bartlein hand laps. I’ve put about 60 through It now, might have to let it get a layer. It WONT be difficult. it gets clean quickly with Boretech.

Is the jacket material used on ABLR softer than what is used on BT/AB? I know it’s a new barrel but I’m still getting a good bit of copper, now. And I’m cleaning every 10 after starting out at 1-3 shot intervals. new territory for me with this bullet, so I’m full of questions here. Thank you...

Got it repeating today from 1/2-3/4” at 100. 50 shots fired on new barrel now. Moving to 300 this week hopefully, kept powder and primer constant and just went deeper and watched it tighten up.👍 Taking it easy on the new brass, 300 fps under max at least. For a little while…

I do appreciate the first hand knowledge you share. After I get this Bartlein loose I’m going to give them a serious go. pulled my LE Wilson seater out today, and realized it’s not the Mic version. But the lathe is only a few miles away to get that fixed, thankfully, when the new one arrives. I...

I’ve always wanted to try these but…seems some people can never get in a comfortable groove with them. And yet others say they are simple to tune! im looking for general recs to apply here, concerning seating depth. And anything else pertinent. looking at the 6.5 142 gr specifically, and I’m...

    Interesting group

I’m thinking you have the possibility of shooting animals lot farther than 100yds with that cartridge. stretch it out to 300 or more on paper and see what happens. It’s not exactly terrible there, if it gets no worse at distance I’d be leary of making much of a change! Good luck with it. I...

unstable 160 gr accubonds 7MM mag

Run the numbers on a twist stability calculator, should give useful data. Another 100-150fps should be attainable. And I’ve got a .284 1-8 tw Bartlein blank if you need it!

I’m going to attempt AB/BT first, though I have looked at Hammer and Badlands monos. May have to slow them a tad, hopefully not though. Bartlein and Benchmark barrels. Stay tuned

Surely someone has found the limit here…? might have to check with all the experts on another forum. I know they are quite plentiful on LRHF.!
