is the .264 the best cartridge ever made..... I don't know but im sure proud of mine right now.
I have killed all three species of deer with mine in Washington. two kinds of elk. bears and many a coyote. none compares to tonight when my buddies daughter slowly squeezed the trigger on her first...
found a couple of unopened boxes at a yard sale. the 162a max 7mm. wondering what powder to start with.
looking for info on the net. (y) and ran across several people using them as hunting bullets.
any thoughts
looking to up grade would like one that does it all with all the latest and greatest.
any suggestion.
I have an old pull trim lee that I think came over with the corpse of discovery.
thanks
kev350.. welcome..
I spent a couple of evenings reading about this. must of been a few that place a 7mm in .264 in the past, more likely a .260 in a 7mm-08 and made a grenade out of there rifle.
there has been a lot of scuttle about these rounds (WSM)
and there potential as wild cats
Tricky little devils.
old trader ill never doubt you again, thought you where goofing me :)
this seems to be common knowledge. figures im the last to know.
thanks guys for re teaching me that there's always something to learn
wait..... the 7mm wsm is longer then the .270 and 300. wsm..
I think I feel an aneurism forming. what about the 325wsm.
you guys are killing me
wow.
isn't the 7mm rum the same case as the 300 rum? wouldn't that be almost the same thing (as oppose to stuffing a .308 in a .338)?
fotis you have blown my pea size brain to pieces.
really?
why wouldn't they make the.308 cal smaller then the .338. and why leave the 7mm/.284 version the same as the .308..... your right that makes no sense.
I don't suppose you fellas would know why Remington chose to go with the .338 rum the it is now as apposed to something like the .338 edge?
I have wondered about this for some time.
found this article.
also wdfw website states that "wdfw does not employ paid hunters or harvest animals at all for any reason. they rely on the master hunter program or native American hunters for their research specimens.
"And though there is a plentiful elk population south of Highway 20...

burned a few down the .340 bee but it prefers the 225 gr and 250 gr.
