I thought about the Tubb’s XC , but my heart is in the Weatherbys. I have a good supply of Jamison and Wby brass on hand. The Jamison brass has shown to hold well in my son’s 378 Wby and my 416 Wby.

Looks like you should have a winner in your hands. Nothing more frustrating to spend money on a chambering twice with poor result. At least the new smith seems to have your best interest in mind.

I run a 6-24 Arken on a 30-30 so I wouldn’t go anything less😉

I know in the older Hornady manuals they listed the 220 for dangerous game. Not sure I want to try stopping a charging elephant with it😁

It’s a 1:10 twist. With a finished length of 32” my intent is 350gr LZRs above 3000 fps with N570 and easy on the brass. With my 416 Wby I can run the 350gr TTSX past 3000 fps if I want. My son has a 378 Wby in a Mark V that he’s been tinkering with the 320 and 330 MTHs.

Building an 378 Wby for pounding steel when I ever get my action. The whole thing will ride in a MPA chassis.

When I replace a barrel I always go for heavy contour to avoid that issue.

I think 165s might be on the light side for N555. I just know it works well under the 220gr RN for sure.

Last week I finished my box of these 2 bullets. With the Garmin I can record my load data and these 2 look and shot good. So today I did a refill.

Just want to give them a shout out for getting me a barrel in short time. Placed the order on 7-8 and was delivered today 7-23. Now only to get my action that I purchased last year to get the ball rolling.
