G'Day Fella's,
I have been looking for an appropriate bi-pod for this same rifle, for some time now.
I was over at at mates place (the manufacturer of this rifles chassis stock), and seen the http://www.accu-tac.com bi-pod he had.
I was so impressed with both the design and manufacture of this...
G'Day Fella's,
SJB358, it looks like you not only have a Keeper but a Winner as well!
A great lookin rifle and with that scope, it just tops it off perfectly.
Regards
Homer
Idaho CTD, I have a .404 Jeffery, that I hope to take to Africa.
My .404 is the top one in this image, the other .404, is a Mate/customers rifle.
My light gun, would probably be a .338 Win Mag?
Hope that helps
Doh!

G'Day Fella's,
Yes Blkram, these gents know how to do exceedingly stunning work.
Sorry bdbrown66 but imagine how i felt, having to hand this rifle over to its owner.
LOL!
Homer
G'Day Fella's,
I was having an empty gun box clean up the other day, when an envelope fell out of one of them.
It was the envelope, that had the engravers Certificate of Authenticity in it.
That was lucky!
So FYI, here is the web site for the engraver that did all the work on the Martin Hagn...
G'Day Palouser,
I use the one from Sinclair Int'l as well and for the 6.5mm and the .338.
Sorry, I'm not able to confirm one way or other what effect doing this has, as I have only ever shot them after.
Hope that helps
Doh!

G'Day Fella's,
I got away bush on the weekend, and shot and chronoed some more loads for this same rifle (and some .45 Colt wheel guns).
Here are the written results (the printer on the Oehler 35"P" wont feed the paper? Another job to do......).
And some images at the range.
This one, you...
Truck Driver, I have only ever used IMR 4831 powder in my Rem 700 (24"), .338 Win Mag rifle.
The chronographed performance, closely duplicates the H 4831 SC results shown above.
FYI, I can safely achieve 2700fps with a 250grn bullet, and 3000fps with a 200grn bullet.
These are what I refer to...
These are the bullets I had initally thought may be the best choices for the above mentioned Sub-Sonic expansion test.
From L to R we have Speer 0.308" 130grn HP, Hornady 0.310" 123grn Z-Max and the Taipan 0.3095" 124grn HP.
Whilst these are not great images, they at least initially, cancel...
So true Dr Mike.
My efforts, have more to do with finding out what this little cartridge is actually and safely capable of.
With the assistance of "Daryl S" on Nitro Express.com and also from BC, I was able to ring some quite impressive velocities out of my new Winchester M1892 lever gun, in...
G'Day Fella's,
I was away bush over the weekend, and chrono'ed a few loads in my Howa Mini, 7.62x39 rifle.
All the below handloads were charged by 27.0 grns of ADI AR-2207, CCI BR2 primers in Lapua cases.
Hornady Z-Max 123grn bullets (0.310"), averaged 2462fps.
Taipan 124grn HP bullets...
Mcseal2, I have only ever used IMR-4831 or ADI AR-2213 SC/H-4831 SC in my .25-06's.
I have always had great accuracy and top velocities from this powder, in the 1/4 bore-06's.
Hope that helps

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Donuts!
FYI SJB 358, I was put onto using Winchester 748 powder in my .350 Rem Mags, by a couple of my mates (that already owned .350's).
I have had very good accuracy from the handloads I've used with Win 748 but then, I have never tried any other powder so?
Hope that...
G'Day Fella's,
1100 Rem Man, NO, I'd just buy another safe.
The best advice I can give you is, don't rush into making any rash decisions!
If you really want that Rem Custom Shop rifle, sell off some things you no longer require, and then Buy It.
Hope that helps
Doh!
Homer
Thank You for your kind comments fella's.
Good question Truck Driver?
FYI, Taipan (pronounced Tie-Pan) bullets are an Australian brand, and they kind of remind me of Nosler, as they always seem to shoot very accurately!
Not sure about the bullet diameter (0.03095" in a 0.0310" bore) difference...
G'Day Fella's,
Not having much luck locating a one piece Pic-Rail/scope base, for this new Howa Mini action.
So I found some Warne two piece bases I had for a Rem 700 (the same when using two piece bases), and fitted them and a scope to the rifle.
Here are some images of the rifle/scope...
G'Day Fella's,
Pharmseller, I have and use both of the comparator types that http://www.sinclairintl.com sell.
The Hex nut type (part# 749-002-942WS)and the Granite block one (part# 749-011-469WS) as well and they are both very good for confirming specs (the granite block version, is just a lot...
