We are paying that in BC here. And have been for quite some time. $36.95 is almost a steal. I went to Canadian Tire (Box store here) and found that they jacked their prices to$50.95 for 1 lbs!!
I know the majority here are non Canadian, however think of how this would affect you in your State if the guides just got a huge chunk of permits for non-residents. That is currently what we are facing here in BC. I know a lot of you come to BC to enjoy hunting opportunities and your more than...
It is, but it sure doesn't feel like it with our whopping 2"or less of snow here. Up in the hills is better I guess, but we usually have 12"-18" by now at least in town.
It was a great day with family. I had to work some today, but the boss let me linger at home a bit.
The BCWF has a petition that you can fill out. Make sure you do. Also go to the GOABC Facebook page...if you facebook. It is interesting to see them try and justify their stuff.
Here is something directly from their FB page... good ol politics!

I would disagree with this as my digital calipers just zapped themselves. Changed the battery, twice and still errors.
I went and bought a set of manual calipers and will probably not look back. Too much room for error with digital...calipers anyways.

Geez. Hopefully all goes well. It's tough to see someone/something you are so close to, go through something like that. By the way you describe the dogs, you can tell that the bond is strong.
Best wishes.
I know. Nosler06 and I were watching it. The whole time, we were discussing that. Maybe a little bit of adrenaline came into effect? Then when the guide was holding the rifle, I was almost yelling at the computer screen for him to drop the range finder...tunnel vision perhaps?
This is a little too close for comfort if you ask me.

Interesting. One thing came to mind.
I wonder if this will affect the supply of 303 British Ammo that is usually readily available at retailers. I know locally there is a group that shoots the 303 for matches etc, sometimes hunting. Most of those guys I believe cast their own bullets though...
That's pretty cool. One line I like out of there is...
Harper said while it is a “very small program at the federal level,” it’s important because it’s a part of Canadian heritage — “history that makes Canada.”
It's important to keep our heritage, whether we're Canadian, American, whoever...
I needed some new brass and none of the local stores have any unprimed, bagged brass. So I bought a box of Winchester 180 gr Power Max Bonded for the 300 Win Mag. I am going to use 200 grain PT's when I reload, but thought these were alright to shoot esp to just shoot them off, have some fun and...
