When the 8mm Rem Mag was introduced I had a 6mm Rem... Thought it would be pretty cool to have Remington 700's in 6mm Rem, 7mm Rem Mag and 8mm Rem Mag... :) Still think that would be cool.
Best of luck with the rifle Fotis!

The Co-Ax offers an advantage of both the case head and the sizing & seating dies being able to "float" just a bit, theoretically producing "straighter" ammunition for better accuracy.
I do know that I used the Co-Ax press and a set of Forster "honed" dies to build the most accurate ammo I've...
Your rifle has a 30" barrel? Goodness! I had a match rifle that used 30" barrels...
I started using the 165's and 168's in the 308 many years ago because I was issued 168 gr ammo for duty. It was very accurate and I wanted practice and hunting ammo that had the same velocity, bullet weight and...
Years ago, when the 300 RUM was new, I had one and loaded the 200 gr Accubond over a stout charge of Retumbo for about 3,000 fps as I recall. It was a popular load at the time and an excellent one.

I've got more than enough Nosler bullets, mostly purchased through Shooter's Pro Shop as seconds, to keep shooting the rest of my life... :)
Primers and powder, I'm not so comfortable with my supply, but it's not bad.

Dang, most of my meals in Alaska have been in a tent or a remote fishing lodge... I come up with nothing for recommendations. Dang!
Kinda liked Fast Eddies in Tok.
Liked a hole-in-the-wall place in Cordova for breakfast but they got busted for drugs and shut down.
The Reluctant Fisherman...
Sierra's TGK has a pretty stout jacket, no doubt.
Nosler's Accubond is already a classic. I remember when it was introduced... It was supposed to perform similarly to a Nosler Partition on game but with a higher BC because of the tip and the boattail. In my limited experience, it's done a fine...
BTW, Reloader 22, the powder your grandfather used (me too) is almost impossible to find anymore.
Unless you have a good supply of it on hand, when you start handloading for that rifle you'll likely need to turn to some other fairly slow burning powder.
I hope you get the mystery solved and...
This should get you in the ballpark. Copied from Hodgdon's Online Data Center.
I've only used a little StaBALL Match, but it performed well from the 6.5 Creed. Haven't tried it yet in the 308 Win. I'd anticipate that it should work quite well.

I shot one of those quite a bit a couple of years ago. Liked a great deal! The 357 mag loads were picking up about 400 fps over what a 6" 586 S&W revolver would produce. Accuracy was decent, though I didn't do any serious tests, just plinked steel with it for the most part. Easy to carry, easy...
1. ENJOY! Upland bird hunting is a relaxed and sociable hunt for me. I've only hunted "California quail" not bobwhite, but rather a lot of them over the years.
Salmonchaser has some great stuff there re the dogs... Sometimes those rascals will jump up and can get into your line of fire. Not...
I had not thought of freezing fish in water... What a simple way to preserve them! Thanks.
Seems like you had a mighty nice time at Fish Camp. That's good.

Exactly! You said it well.
I follow some really great wildlife photographers on Facebook and Instagram. My goodness the stuff that they post is awesome. But... I'm not going to devote my life to photography. It's something I do for fun, it's interesting, challenging. and time to time I get a...
Absolutely!
Here in Washington - those who know figure that at least a million conservative voters didn't even turn out last November, and rarely do. So, all the lefty stuff passes...
