    Reloading Help 25-06

Yes RL 25 is a great powder. SC is great...same stuff as the regular stuff chemically but physically smaller kernels.

    Reloading Help 25-06

Well I looked at my handloading spreadsheet that I have been adding to for 35 years. All my 25-06 loads from 100 gr to 117 gr did remarkably well with IMR 7828....Including my latest load. Other powders that worked easily and very well are RL 22 RL 25 H4831SC RL 26 These are my go to powders.

What bullet does your FIL want to use and for what purpose? The 25-06 was my first big game rifle. I have been in bed with one or two at a time since 1993. Killed more big game with that caliber(chambering) than anything else. PM me if you want. Where do you live?

I wish you lived in Cheyenne. I would pick up the rifle and return it with a sub MOA load in one week. Maybe less.

New Athlon Doppler Chrono Unit $350

Used it today with a few different rifles. We had a couple of different loads in 5.56mm in 44-40 win and 22 magnum rifle. Not a single hiccup. Additionally did some 357 and some 9 mm work and it worked flawlessly. Personally I'm very happy with it

New Athlon Doppler Chrono Unit $350

Got mine yesterday in the mail. Very easy to use. Much easier than the Labradar or the Garmins I have used in the past. I did not even have to use the manual at all. Took it to my back yard with an old Crosman air rifle using BB's. Read every single shot. 511 506 498 and 501 fps. No...

Going to run the big 8 again.

I've never really heard of the factory version BDL and Classics shooting very very well in the big eight so I have been looking for aftermarket barrels just in case. It seems the only people who make them is Shilen McGowan Douglas Lothar Walther fand then panor and Lilja. Any input is...

Going to run the big 8 again.

In the works sir: BTW they always go faster than other bullets of similar weight...... way less pressure due to the grooves. Just to give you an idea... 6.5x300 Bee 88 gr of RL33 yields 3555 fps with the 127 LRX the same charge yields 3420 fps with the 123 gr Absolute Hammer.
