Talk to me about US 869

I’ve got 8lbs that’s had 40 rounds loaded from it. I get almost 2950 fps with 180 grain Berger’s from a 26” barreled 7mm Rem Mag. That’s with as much of it that I can fit in the case. I live in Ohio and if you want I can meet you half way on 70 (within reason) for a couple pounds of something I...

    165gr vs 180gr Partition

I will say I got my first actual one hole group with the 140gr 7mm E-Tip from a new manufacture Remington 700 in 7mm RM. The only thing I changed on it was changing the stock trigger to a Timney Elite Hunter. Even with that it’s hard for me not to hunt with Partitions.

Im like a kid only coming around when they need something. Load data

As long as you can get a crimp on the bullet with a OAL of 2.26” with a FCD you should be ok. Use the manufacturer load data for cfe223 and you should be fine. Just make sure you can get that crimp though. Wouldnt matter if it wasn’t an AR.

    165gr vs 180gr Partition

I normally use the 150gr Partition for deer in my 308 Win. I know I don’t need them for deer but there’s no question that they work great. Just rebarreled with a 26” McGowen barrel, and refinished it to a hot blue gloss finish, and put a PT&G bolt head on it. Headspaced with Forster gauges but...

    .452 - Hornady 250gr XTP and 240gr XTP Mag (part 2)

I use the 300gr XTP Mag in my 450 Bushmaster at 2050ish fps. It seems to be a tougher bullet than the Hornady 300gr HP I use in 45-70. Just my opinion.

    Hornady .458 300gr HP’s

That 55 grain load with H4198 is pretty stout even for a starting load. That’s what I started with was H4198. Still have 4-5lbs. I backed it down to 51 grains and went to IMR4198 and 2050 fps. Plenty for deer and my shoulder.

    Hornady .458 300gr HP’s

Those Scout V2’s are really great shooting rifles. They have the Bergara/Shilen barrels.

    Hornady .458 300gr HP’s

That’s how many I ordered too. I got a couple boxes of 300gr XTP Mag’s for my Ruger MPR 450 Bushmaster as well. They sure do work on deer just like you said. I load them both to a 2050 fps load and can switch between the two without a thought. Same Nikon scopes on both really does make them...

    Hornady .458 300gr HP’s

Midway has them for $22.49 for anyone that wants to stock up before the Fall run on them for your 45-70’s.

    270 win NBT 130 request

I always get caught up chasing groups myself. Out of my own vanity I guess. I forget sometimes that even with a 2” group, that bullet is going to impact within 1” of where my crosshairs were when the shot cracked at 100 yards. Three best powders I’ve had with the two 270’s I have are SB 6.5...

staBALL HD load data for 7mm rem mag

I haven’t tried Staball HD yet. I need to, I have a good bit of it. I enjoy the E-Tips very much. From 55gr in .224, 130gr .277, 140gr .284, to 150gr in .308 give great accuracy and velocity for me. I haven’t had a problem at all with velocity or accuracy. To get the retained weight of a 140gr...

    270 win NBT 130 request

It’s a little faster than H4831 but it’s better suited to the 270’s case capacity than H4831SC in my opinion. I also love the 130gr Hot Cor. Great bullet. RL23 is a great option too if you have any.

Both were less than $100 each.

    LR Primers

I picked up a brick of WLRM and a brick of CCI 200’s.

    LR Primers

Just and fyi. Cabela’s has CCI 200’s and Winchester LRM primers. Have it shipped to store and there’s no hazmat. 10 sleeves of 100 per order of each. Order 10 and they send it as a brick.

    BC for cast bullets?

What h do is, go outside and pick up a rock. Now listen carefully because this is important. Make sure a good stiff wind is square in your face. Now throw that rock. Subtract 10 from whatever the rock got. Lol

    Elk Hunting Caliber

I won’t get into the how but they’d have a lot of regret tagging my harvest. I remember someone TRIED that with my dad when I was young.

    Cheap .30cal Heavyweights

Wow! I’m really impressed with your velocity results. Almost 2600 fps is more than I thought you’d get from a 308 Win shooting 220 grain bullets. That’s a stout load.

    7 PRC Loads

An over barrel suppressor would be nice at that length. 4” of barrel goes into the suppressor and the other 4” of suppressor extends barrel length. https://amtacsuppressors.com/suppressors/rongo/

    7 PRC Loads

Dang Guy, that’s really impressive velocity from a 22” barrel. LRT has performed very nicely in my 7mm RM’s
