I'm going to try US 869 in the 30 Kong.

That powder will be new to me.

Any insight on that is most appreciated

Thx

The problem I saw with US869 , it’s very temperature sensitive.
What bullets are you looking at loading for it?
RL-33 is the ticket for the 30-378 but it’s unavailable today.

what about the 24n41 or 20n29?

I'd look at IMR7828, Retumbo and H50BMG.
My buddy uses Retumbo with the 175 SMK.

My 28 nosler loves us869 with 175 ablr in both velocity and accuracy. I have not noticed the temperature issues but have not hunted in any extremes-

I didn’t get around to try them. When RL33 came out I bought a couple of pounds of it and was amazed with it in my 30-378 and 338 Lapua. I picked up another 16lbs of it , at the time it was much cheaper than the Viht. powders.
If you’re looking at 180gr bullets Retumbo as mentioned by others does a great job , just keep an eye on it as you reach max charge. For 210-250gr bullets you’re going to want something slower.

I’ve got 8lbs that’s had 40 rounds loaded from it. I get almost 2950 fps with 180 grain Berger’s from a 26” barreled 7mm Rem Mag. That’s with as much of it that I can fit in the case. I live in Ohio and if you want I can meet you half way on 70 (within reason) for a couple pounds of something I use. It’s just too slow for my use.

Edit: Hell I’ll even pull the 20 I have loaded and put it back in the jug. Lol

i was able to get an 8#er of 33 from another member on another forum about 3 years ago. haven't tried it in 338lm, 264wm and/or 300wm yet. all were for the heaviest bullets per cartridge (not caliber) like 300gr .338 cal, 210-230gr .308 cal and 144-156gr in .264 cal of those cartridges listed earlier. might get 700 rounds worth of loads out of it (based on 80gr per load)?
