Need some opinions on a trimmer for the 30-378.
I have a manual trimmer and an electric brass smith trimmer from Lyman.
It works great. With repeated sense of pressure of course it's the same all the time every time. GREAT!
BUT...
It won't do straight wall cases and no bushing big enough for my 30 Kong.
I modified a bushing to take a 44 mag case and using some washers to index off the case rim it does ok.
While not a lot to hold on to of the case it does work overall better than hand cranking.
I tried to modify a bushing for the 30-378 and while I only needed to remove a little bit of material I'm not super confident the case mouth is getting cut square.
I will measure tomorrow and see just how square. I do practice turning the case 3,6,9, 12 o'clock while cutting to help with that. Not while cutting but in and out rotating it every few seconds.
That said I just don't feel solid about it with the big 30 cal.
Which brings me to Lee....
I've never owned anything from Lee. Having worked deep in the industry they just had a reputation of being cheap..possibly mickey mouse somewhat.
Perhaps that reputation wasn't warranted and by all means I pose no offense to anyone who likes Lee...
I just have no experience with them.
A friend of mine suggested a Lee case length gauge and shellhoder for the 30 kong.. and a cutter and lock stud.
He thinks they work alright but his alternative is hand crank only and he's not as picky as I am.
I have no idea how well it teally works. Don't even know without researching how it actually works.
I'd like some real opinions like y'all always give on topics.
The other trimmer is the WFT trimmer.

I think with that one I need to purchase something in addition to that...
Anyways these appear as my only two options.
Definitely more than a penny for anyone's thoughts on this...
Thx and have a most glorious day! ! !

The WFT was developed as a precision tool built to last a lifetime (or more) and uses a source of power most people already own – a cordless or electric drill. Once adjusted to the user’s preference, it’s simply a matter of chucking it up in a drill and feeding cases in by hand. The WFT products…
