IMR4350, Varget and RL26 as I still have several pounds of it. I've been trying the VihtaVuori powder N550 and so for it's working well.

My Tikka lite T3X has a 1:8 twist and shoots 70g RDF'S over CFE223 into bug hole groups and 63g Absolute Hammers over Vihn N550 the same, plus drops coyotes in their tracks.

I've been following your thread as I have a 300 wsm that shoots 180g Accubonds very well. Lots of good suggestions here! I was wondering if you adjusted your seating depth with your 150g AB and how far off the lands you started? Accubonds usually like a big jump to the lands, if you have any...

The heaviest bullet I shot was a 150g ABLR over RL26, they shot okay, right at 1 moa with an average velocity of 3141 fps from a 24" barrel.

I'm not sure if I ever shot any 165's in my 270wsm when I had it. I'll check my notes when I get home. It sure liked 130g Etips, which is unusual, I never could get Etips to shoot in my 25-06.

I think there are several VV powder that will work with 180g, Blkram is using N165, and VihtaVuori.com lists several including N550, N555 and N560. Anyone else try any of these?

Welcome to the forum. I agree with the above, except when I shoot monos. In my 243 truck gun I shoot 100g PT, but for lead-free I shoot 80g Hammers. Hammer Hunters work great on both deer and coyotes.

What kind of velocity are you getting with the N165 and 180g ABs and how long is your barrel?

I use RL17 in my 300wsm with 180g Accubonds and it works great. I've been looking for more RL17 for quite awhile with no luck. I've thought about trying Viht. N550 as it is working very well in a couple other calibers and about the same burn rate as 17.

Beautiful rifle! Great cartridge, try the 115g Ballistic tips, they shoot great in my m70.

I got excellent accuracy with IMR4350 in my 270wsm with 150g bullets and also with my son's 6.5 cm and 140g bullets. RL26 gave about the same accuracy with more velocity in both.

Different brand of bullets and different guns, I've seen bigger spreads than that.

I'm good as well with my 24" regular 280 Rem. 2950 fps-160g PT over RL26 3045 fps-150g AB blems over RL26 3100+fps- 140g Hammers over IMR4350 All with excellent accuracy.

How to measure the twist rate in your rifle. I hope this come through, if not Google it. Hope this helps!
