Vince, I’m with ya. My dad was in WWII and landed at Omaha beach on D-Day. Took shrapnel in his right biceps. Said if he didn’t have his arm up it would have went through his temple. But that’s about all he ever said about it, never really said much about the horror of it all. Come home and...
I set out to incorporate the elements of a turkey feather into a striker without being obvious about it. After studying on one for a while I decided to tap into my inner abstract artist and use black walnut and char it. It doesn’t smack in the face that it’s a turkey feather, but I think a keen...
I try to keep 50 rounds for my bolt guns. And for the AR's, being the hungry little beasts they are, I try to keep many, many more of .223, Grendel, 6 Arc, 308 win, and 350 legend. I don't varmint hunt much anymore, but if I did, I expect I'd keep a pile of 22-250.
Here’s another red slate in purpleheart. Has a glass soundboard inside and a waterproof striker. Probably my favorite call that uses slate. The red slate is a game changer! These usually go faster than chocolate cake at the fat kids camp! $50 TYD
THANKS!
Let's see if judges and DA's are willing to buy liability policies on the thugs they either don't prosecute or let off with a slap on the wrist. If I am to be liable for not properly securing my firearms, they should be liable for not properly securing the bigger threats to society.
Don't know if any of you guys listen to This Country Life podcast with Brent Reaves, but he is an awesome fella and his podcast revolves around hunting, fishing, and any outdoor activities. He is a great storyteller and I recommend giving him a listen. They're short episodes, around 20 minutes...
Man, did he hit the ground running! E.O.'s are flying off his desk, and Homan is already rounding up criminal illegals. Even managed to answer more questions in an hour than geriatric Joe did in 4 years. I had to chuckle when he shut down the reporter for interrupting him. I think he learned a...
You've made a good choice by taping into the knowledge base of the members here. Most are more than willing to offer help, and trust in the fact you won't be flamed for asking questions. Also, might I interject with an incredible knowledge source? A book series I find very useful is the "ABC's...
Speaking of flash hiders, I couldn't be happier with the Strike Industries Venom flash hider. It eliminates the vast majority of flash, and at $50.00 it's even more appealing...Although it does "ring" after the shot. Imagine a very faint tuning fork sound. But, living with pretty bad tinnitus...
There's no completely avoiding it, but the goal is to minimize and let the flash arrestor reduce it even more. I know with the 6 ARC, I found a huge difference in IR white-out by working with powders until I found one with full burn somewhere around 2" before exit. I'd have to guess it is a...
Ok, Thanks. I should have said TAC-TX not X, but either way it isn't in GRT either. Guess I'll have to build a bullet profile, and calibrate with a few starting loads in GRT
Could someone run a QL model for me. I'm working on a SBR Grendel with a 12" barrel, and hoping to find a powder with 100% burnout before muzzle exit to be IR scope friendly. May be a tall order, but I think N133, N130 will do it. also looking at H335 and Benchmark.
Thanks a million!
