Funny you mention having to spend your seaons chasing off poachers. Had same instance on our land back home in Florida.
On a side note, tried to pm you some info, but for some reason the messages are not being delivered.

For those who followed this thread I apologize for not stating the outcome of this issue. Psa warranty policy states either a repair or replacement. At the time it specifically stated no refunds. 2 weeks after they received the rifle a refund was found on the credit card it was purchased on. No...
Good advice! Usually my attire includes the watchcap and I still have all of my wool military issue cold gear so that's not a problem at all! But an extra layer never hurts

Great list! Made me remember the paracord. Any of the land ill be able to hunt this year will more than likely be privately owned, and within 5 miles of a county road in most directions so I could lighten that list some

As my itch to get in the woods grows I was reading through my post of my first deer ever last year. Remembering every detail of the day I finally harvested thst first doe. I also remember how ill prepared I was as well. I had my license, permit, buck knife, shot gun and a few extra shells...
I don't even know where I'd go to contact a biologist about that, or where the he'll id hunt them around here. Would be nice to harvest a few!

All bullets are PowerShot
Grains are 270,295, and 348 grain projectiles. Jacketed. Bullets. All .50 caliber and the powder is 50 grain pellets of triple seven by hodgdon.
The gun is a Mossberg maverick 88 with the 24" barrel.
Thanks for any help

Does anyone use the muzzle loader/black powder barrel on their maverick 88 or Mossberg 500?
I have one that was given to me along with some powerbelt projectiles and triple seven 50 grain pellets. The powder pellets and bullets are compatible and do have limited load data for each bullet.

Trust me, I understand completely. I'm almost allowed to walk crutch assisted. Whatever hunting I get to do this year will be a challenge.

Unfortunately I'm at the mercy of the gods on this one! I'm military and move around every few years and don't own any land. Hoping some good opportunities come up!
last night the temp was down to 53 here and hasn't gone much above 70 as of yet so its beautiful out! Gonna start prepping my gear...
As hunting season comes closer, I find myself more and more excited. Spending time on YouTube watching folks on their hunts' grinning ear to ear! This year I'm hoping to earn my first buck with my grandfathers old Bear bow. But I also have to admit, I'm really wanting to experience a hog hunt...
Thanks all!! Appreciate it. Strangely enough we looked at an escort by Hatsan 12 ga about a week ago. We didnt buy it because I knew nothing about the manufacturer. May have to revisit that avenue soon!
