    130gr Interbond from buck

I emailed Hornady about a month ago and they confirmed they're out of production and have no current plans to bring them back. The rep said they're expensive and slow to make compared to their other projectiles. That's a shame, which is why I've been buying all I can when I see them.

South Carolina, an hour inland from Charleston.

    130gr Interbond from buck

This is a recovered 130gr Hornady Interbond shot from a custom Rem 700 with a 24" Krieger barrel at about 50 yards. Way too much gun for the area I was hunting, but I had not shot anything with this rifle since I got it back from the gunsmith. I was hunting in October, which is prime time for my...

    .452 - Hornady 250gr XTP and 240gr XTP Mag (part 1)

Sweet gun Guy. I have the non Bisley version that had a little work done to it by SSK. Great guns! So far I've really like the XTP's in my 44 Mag & 454 for deer. I have no doubt they'd smack a black bear pretty good too.

    .452 - Hornady 250gr XTP and 240gr XTP Mag (part 1)

I've used the 240 gr XTP out of a 7.5" barreled 44 Mag revolver on deer & into the jugs close to 1400 fps muzzle velocity. They did great on both. It exited on a doe & dropped her. I don't remember how many jugs, but it was a picture perfect mushroom with very high weight retention. Looked close...

    .452 - Hornady 250gr XTP and 240gr XTP Mag (part 1)

Looks great! I always wondered what would happen to the 250gr XTP when pushed harder. Held up well though!

    139gr Hornady Interbond

Nice! I have a bunch of the 154gr 7mm's I want to try in my 7 Rem Mag & PRC. I've only killed deer with the 130gr 270 & 150gr 30 cal. Shot a nice doe with the 150gr out of the 30-06 and it worked great. Buddy got his first deer with the same combo. Great blood trails and always seemed to exit...

    Thompson Center coming back

Sure is, good eye! He was great to work with.

    Thompson Center coming back

Looking forward to seeing these again! I have several Encore pistol barrels and one rifle barrel. They're all shooters! Pic attached was a doe shot at 130 yards with 257 Roberts and 110gr Accubond.

    Range day

Wow, I'd say you're dialed in. I can't believe how well the Ruger is shooting. Info on the 275 rifle?

Range day with Tikka T3x Super Varmint

Finally got to the outdoor range this morning to put some loads through a Tikka T3x Super Varmint in 6.5 PRC. This was also the first serious range session shooting this rifle with my new (and first) TBAC Ultra 7 suppressor. I had an assortment of loads in either Lapua or Hornady brass that...

    Rotate your hunting rifles

Like hunter said above, I tend to use ones that I haven't killed anything with yet or a new bullet that I haven't used before. Certain areas will often get me using different guns as well. I have one stand on my lease that is thick swamp and shots are usually less than 100 yards, sometimes much...

Trail Cam Before & After Debby

I've had a couple Moultries die from rain and no longer use them. I've had very good luck with the Tactacams. One died for no apparent reason after two years and another died when a logger took the tree it was mounted on. All my others have been running great. I really liked a couple of Browning...

Trail Cam Before & After Debby

Update on the flooding, camera is still going strong. It's fogging up pretty badly during the day but the motion sensor is still working. As you can see, the water is almost completely gone. I emailed Tactacam and they said if I had any issues with it, they'd help me out. Darryle, I've never...

What will be your cartridge/rifle of choice for this fall? Second?

I believe my main gun will be a Tikka T3x Super Varmint in 6.5 PRC with a TBAC Ultra 7. Haven't decided on a load yet. It'll either be a 129gr ABLR, 130gr AB or 142gr ABLR. Then I have an Encore 7 RM rifle with Interbonds that I'm playing with. Of course I have to get one with a handgun, Freedom...

Trail Cam Before & After Debby

I have some trail cam pics somewhere, where it rained and flooded about one foot back in the same area and wood ducks were swimming by!

Trail Cam Before & After Debby

You're not the first person to tell me that, so I probably will. Been loving them the last couple of years and now only have Tactacams atm.

Trail Cam Before & After Debby

Another update; water is going down pretty quickly. This is 12 hours since the last photo. These are all "check-in" photos. Not sure if the motion sensor is working or not, but still can't believe the camera survived! The camera in question is a two year old Tactacam Reveal X Pro.

Trail Cam Before & After Debby

No kidding! I'm very impressed with that Tactacam! RL338, the only Reconyx I ever bought died to water. The SD card survived and I got pics over two days of rain & the water rising. It got up to about half way on the camera & then died.

Trail Cam Before & After Debby

Got another pic about 12 hours later. Camera is still working somehow.
