Yes My friends and I use them quite a bit. Your experience mimics mine. Front part shreds off and the shank penetrates like a cast bullet. Never recovered one . 257 Bee, 300 Bee 30-06 etc,

Remington 150 grain meant and loaded for the 35 Remington. I do not know if they still load them as factory ammo. I do not forsee any significant expansion with those velocities from a pistol.
