I wouldn't sweat Alliant not shipping to Canada. Found some RL 15 in a store the other day for $65/ pound - not much of a point in it being available if you can't afford it anymore.
I find myself keeping cash on hand just in case I see a good deal on ammo, powder, whatever. About the only things I am confident I can get reasonably are bullets, and maybe brass.
When I have that happen, I believe it is due to low pressure. My understanding is that normally, pressure expands the case to the chamber, but with low pressure scenarios, burning gas "leaks" around the case mouth. I've also read that generously cut chambers can cause the same sort of "leak".
I like the bodyguard, but I do not own one. I find the controls are just too small for me to manipulate effectively with my meat hooks. When I carry pocket, I prefer a DAO revolver, or one with a shrouded hammer. Yes, I like a full size whenever possible, but sometimes you just can't carry...
If I understand what you are asking correctly, it is both a decocker and safety - at least on the M9/92. Manual of arms, as I was taught, was hammer down with a round in the chamber and the safety off. First round is DA. I winced every time I hit that switch after loading. Never had a...
