I see Glock now has the G40 and 43 listed on their site. The G40 is a beast for sure. I carry a G36 daily and was thinking the G43 would be a great backup piece, lightweight and slim. I plan to check them out when the local shop gets them in.
I usually use Remington brass but it's been a while since I've been able to find any. Midway sent me a product arrival notification just this week on the Lapua .260 & .308 so I went ahead and purchased 100pcs each. It's more expensive but i wanted to buy some before it was all gone again. If...
The brass I'm using is Rem brass and has been fired twice. I don't have a 270 FL die so if I plan to size down to 270 first i'll have to pick one up. I think i'll just take a few and try to size them straight down to 25 and measure everything and see how it goes. Thanks for the feedback.
I'm having trouble finding 25.06 brass but I have a ton of 30.06 brass on hand and would like to use it. Would it be better to size it down to .270 and trim and then step down to 25.06 or can I size it straight to 25.06? Thanks! Mike
Well after tons of research and comparing we ended up buying a HS precision pro series 2000 #PSS003 in black. The stock came in today and I hope to get everything together tomorrow. It doesn't have a factory cheek piece as she wanted but she picked out the stock anyway and said if she needed a...
Great post and thanks for sharing the info. My daughter has harvested some really nice bucks with the Sierra 120gr PH and her model 7 260. Now she has a new rem 700 .260 1-8 twist and we plan to try both the 120 and 140gr BT's in that particular rifle if we can find some. I've seen nothing but...
Thanks for the feedback I appreciate it.
We were looking at this one and in one of the pics it shows that it has a cheekpiece but the description doesn't say anything about one.

The HS that we are looking at is this one ...
My daughter recently purchased a Rem 700 SPS chambered in 260 and she wants to replace the plastic stock that came on it. She wants black with a raised cheek piece and she's narrowed it down to the HS Pro series and the BC Alaskan II. I would love to hear from anyone who has experience with one...
That's some great shooting and a good looking rifle. I have a friend who just picked up that same rifle in 25.06 and according to him it also shoots very well. He hasn't stretched out the little .257 bullet yet but he says that at 100yds it's printing some pretty impressive groups.
I just ordered a 260 rem and it has the 1 in 8 twist rate. My daughters rem model 7 has the 1 in 9 and shoots the 120gr bullets well. I know the 1 in 8 is suppose to be good for the 130's and heavier but am hoping the 120's will also work well with this twist. Does anyone here shoot a .260 rem...
Im looking for a scope to put on a Rem 700P .308 and can't decide which one. I won't be shooting past 500yds and I want a standard plex reticle. The two im considering are the Vortex Viper HS 4x16x44 and the Nikon M-308 4x16x42. Does anyone have any experience with these two scopes and if so how...
