Thanks fellas. I wanted to go check my cameras this past weekend but couldn't get away to the camp. I plan to go down this weekend because I know the batteries will need changing. I'll post most pics if I've got some new deer on them.
We've got 2000 acres with about 80% hardwoods and 10...
Burris makes rings for the Ruger I believe. You may want to check the Leupold website as they have a chart online that gives the rings to match the rifle.
Thanks, Noel. I'll give that a try.
ET, I check each piece of brass for consistency in length. I use an RCBS Rock Chucker press and I can get full cam over. I'll double check everything else but I suspect a part of my problem is the various lengths in bullets...especially in the lead tipped...
There are some big deer in the black belt region south of Montgomery! You should have a great time that opening weekend!
When I saw the pictures, my first thought was "I wish he was a year or two older". He'd be super nice in another 2-3 years! I've got a couple of bucks on another camera but...
I'm a crappy reloader suppose. I'm lucky if I can get my OAL to stay within .010 - .030 of each round. For example, if I want a 3.320 OAL my loaded rounds are usually wind up like 3.320, next will be 3.317, next will be 3.323, etc. No matter what I do I can never get every bullet to be...
Finally got my two game cameras set out a couple of weeks ago and checked them today. It took this guy a week to find the chum but he was sure loving the food the last week. Nice 8 pt (4x4) for the westerners still in velvet. Here are a couple of pics of him.
I had a button buck, a spike, does...
Awesome!! Thanks for the information but is it the H4350 or IMR4350? I know they are close to the same but knowing which one specifically would help. :)
Thank you, Mike! (and Scotty). I don't have my reload books with me right now but I will have them this weekend. I'll shoot you a PM, Mike, if that is ok? I'd like you to run a couple of QL's for me and my .280 with the 140 PT. I'm shooting the 22" barrel Ruger M77.
Thanks!!!
Looks like the .284 140PT has a BC of .434 and the .270 140PT has a BC of .432. I guess I am still confused.
I guess the easiest way to do it is to just keep adding powder in my .280 until I get signs of over pressure?
Sorry for stealing time in Greg's thread.....
Russ - I have to ask....how did you travel to Africa from Hawaii?? I bet it was a LONG trip!! Folks talk about the long flight from Atlanta to SA or from DC to SA but I bet your trip was a real doozy!
