I went out this morning to an area where I saw some whitetails last fall just to see if I could find any whities running around for later in the season. I got to the spot about 30 min too early and was too dark still, so I was sitting in my truck waiting for a little bit of light and hit my brake pedal accidently set my alarm off, im not sure how I even turned it on. Son of a bi*ch!! Haha. Anyways, once it was light enough I left the truck and walked into the spot and noticed two deer way up the deactivated rd with a strong wind blowing in my face I kept on walking to get a closer look. Then I stopped and was checking for the deer again. I spotted them on the right side of the road eating, it was a 3x3 and a 2 point, after watching for ten minutes or so. I was about to continue down the road towards the spot I was headed to and blow my cover when I saw movement on the far left side of the cut. I put the binos up and just saw long tines coming my way, it was a 4 point, so i watched as he made his way towards me. At first I was thinking I was going to pass him up since its so early in the season, but as he got closer the ol heart told me I shouldn't. So I dropped him in his tracks with my 270wsm. He's not very wide but he's pretty tall. Im really happy with him.

Beautiful mulie! Job well done. Don't believe I could have passed that guy up either. Congrats.

Hey another hunter from B.C. here :) Nice buck I would have shot him in a heart beat too, congratulations.

Cool buck, some times it's just nice to get one on the ground to start the season off. When I get home in 14 days or so I'll do my darndest not to be to picky and get er started off with a bang.. We need a iPhone app so I can post pics easier , hate photobucket.

Oh Yeah! Even if you see a better one later it'll be easier to leave it for next year. Nice tall rack. Congrats.
