I use the Canon HV40 but the HV30 is just as good and can be found used at a great price!! The video is stunning in HD and the camera is small. Just perfect to put on a lightweight tripod and carry into the backcountry!! Check them out!
Glad you posted this! I had never thought of something like that so I went and added it to my Cabela's "wishlist". Maybe I'll get one for Christmas from the wife or kids.
Who did the cerakote work for you? If you don't mind me asking, what was the cost to do that or was it part of the pkg? You don't have to say what the rifle/pkg cost was if it the cerakoting was included.
By the way, AWESOME rifle!
I'm the opposite ...... I think. I just don't like the butterknife bolt handle on rifles but I like the bolt itself. Otherwise that is a great looking rifle!
I've been seriously considering the 10x42 Euro binos but just don't know enough about them and I don't have a Cabela's anywhere near me to look through them. Any of you folks around here know anything about them?
What about a 23 or 24" barrel for the 6.05-06? I just do not care for the 26" barrels and prefer something in 22-24" in reality. My 338-06 is a 23" PacNor and it balances perfectly in my Ruger M77 stock and action.
The 6.05-06 would go into my Win M70 FW and I'd just have them copy the same...
You are probably right, Scotty. I've considered the .257 Roberts, 257 Wty, and the 25-06. Seems like the '06 may be the way to go ballistically. I just don't know when or where I'll ever shoot a smaller caliber than my .280. :( Maybe I ought to just sell my M70 on gunbroker and be done with it?
Fotis - are you going to at least going to keep this collection for more than a month or two?
I've been giving strong consideration to rebarreling my Win Mod 70 featherweight into a 257 WBY. It is a 30-06 right now that is a 1.5 - 2" gun right now (it is one of the last New Haven...
Joel - I haven't shot any of them yet and these are my first loads to try with the 210PT. I've decided to try RL15 first with three shots each of 51.5, 53.5, and 54.5. I know the last one is 1gr over recommended per the Nos 6 manual but I want to see what the pressure is like and how it performs.
They did my 338-06 and while I haven't had a chance to dial mine in like I want to, the potential looks great in my barrel as well.
I have a 30-06 that won't shoot much better than 1.25 - 1.5" that I am thinking about rebarrelling but I have no idea what to do. I have a .280 and .338-06 so I...
