Quick update:
The gun does not shoot all that great with factory ammo.
My seconds order came today.
The barrel was not free floated. After the disappointing range session, I took care of that. I have a Jewell trigger on the way too.
I'll shoot it with some handloads and see how she does...
My SPS in 25-06 has issues. Does not shoot very tight groups. Wondering if I should have gotten something different. New Jewell trigger on the way and a bedding job is planned. I was really hoping this would have shot good out of the box.
Got the Leupold 4.5x14 B&C yesterday. Nice piece of glass!
Also got some factory ammo (remington 100's $115's) along with my reloading stuff. Still wating on my 2nds order from the Proshop so I will have to try the 100 gr. TSX while waiting.
Still waiting on the gun, Bud's was a little slow...
Whew, I spent some coin today...
Ordered the Accubonds. Only thing is, I can't find any load data. Any help here is appreciated. The 110 is not listed in any manuals I have.
Thanks for the help guys... You are helping me spend money! I already ordered the Accubonds and BT's. Looking at scopes and bases now.
The 4.5x14 Leupold with the B&C runs $579 for matte and $599 for the new gun metal grey. This aint getting cheap.
What's the consensus on the Leupold DD...
I will be getting a Remington 700 SPS in 25-06 for deer and antelope. Regarding the Accubond, is the bullet stout enough to punch through the shoulders?
Here is what a contact wrote after checking into any new 6.5mm bullets at the SHOT Show.
Nosler says they have a 6.5 Accubond in the works but dont expect it before the end of the year (he said 'maybe Sept' but what I hear is 'maybe next year').
Nobody at the Hornady booth could speak of a 6.5...
What is the consensus on this bullet? I got the 150 gr. bullets that were on sale at Midway for 4.99 a box of 50. Since I never played with Moly before, is there any different process for loading them up, i.e. reduced powder. I will shoot them out of an 06 or 300 WSM. Thoughts???
